honestly the most iconic teacher of our generation. really good at lectures and knows what he's talking about (don't let him get started on fanboying about teddy roosevelt). the funniest teacher i ever had, but beware of reading guides, current events, and his insane projects though (and keep up with them if you want to survive the semester). probably the most work-intensive and stressful class on campus but the class is a breeze if you just don't procrastinate and actually get your work done

He is a great teacher, really knows what he is talking about. He does "hit" his students, but only gently when he is pretending to be mad at them lol. The AP class is hard but he never surprises you about what needs to be done, it's just a lot of work. He is funny and a great personality, fun to talk to but still keeps the teacher/student relationship. P.S. He always finds someone to pick on in every class, so do your work or you will be the laughingstock. Best teacher though :)

Ortiz is so so so cool. Without his dedication to his review study sessions on Sat. mornings I would have never passed my AP Euro test. Not only is he funny but he really knows his stuff and is passionate about it. I love his cynical attitude to life because it's funny. He really relates to his students and takes time to know them.

Mr. Ortiz is so hilarious, especially when the sociology class reads to him their current events. We all nearly pass out with laughter every time we watch his reactions :D. Thumbs up to Mr. Ortiz!

Good teacher but has a circle of teacher's pets he treats differently than his other students which is unfair.

Quite possibly the best teacher I've ever had, if not just for history. He knows his material back and forth, and doesn't get paid enough teaching us hellions.

A little too social, and in all reality, he SHOULDN'T be hitting the students. I think all those bruises were well earned. Good for AP Euro, bad for Soc.
