honestly the most iconic teacher of our generation. really good at lectures and knows what he's talking about (don't let him get started on fanboying about teddy roosevelt). the funniest teacher i ever had, but beware of reading guides, current events, and his insane projects though (and keep up with them if you want to survive the semester). probably the most work-intensive and stressful class on campus but the class is a breeze if you just don't procrastinate and actually get your work done
He is a great teacher, really knows what he is talking about. He does "hit" his students, but only gently when he is pretending to be mad at them lol. The AP class is hard but he never surprises you about what needs to be done, it's just a lot of work. He is funny and a great personality, fun to talk to but still keeps the teacher/student relationship. P.S. He always finds someone to pick on in every class, so do your work or you will be the laughingstock. Best teacher though :)
He's the best history teacher I have ever had!! His tests are extremely hard though. His lectures are very interesting and funny!!
He is super! I'm currently taking his class, sure the workload is never ending, but he's a fun guy and can really teach!
Mr.Ortiz makes his students do a lot of work!! His lectures are interesting and funny. However, the workload is severe! Homework and projects are a never-ending thing in his class!
take his philosophy class. it was the best, i learned so much. he's the best
he's smart, and helps his students but he is strange
Ortiz is so so so cool. Without his dedication to his review study sessions on Sat. mornings I would have never passed my AP Euro test. Not only is he funny but he really knows his stuff and is passionate about it. I love his cynical attitude to life because it's funny. He really relates to his students and takes time to know them.
Mr. Ortiz is so hilarious, especially when the sociology class reads to him their current events. We all nearly pass out with laughter every time we watch his reactions :D. Thumbs up to Mr. Ortiz!
Good teacher but has a circle of teacher's pets he treats differently than his other students which is unfair.
Quite possibly the best teacher I've ever had, if not just for history. He knows his material back and forth, and doesn't get paid enough teaching us hellions.
Mr.Ortiz has a really fun class but its also really hard. And Ive never seen him hit anyone or even try!
great teacher and really wants his students to succeed
Mr ortiz is a great teacher, makes everything very clear but has a really hard class
He is super cool- he is the best AP Teacher I've ever had! He does hit people a lot- but still very cool! Yay!
Ortiz is a very cool teacher although he likes to hit his students a lot. But, Ortiz does prepare you very well to take the AP test.
He is one of my favorite teachers that I have ever had. He has a booming personality and teaches on a level that is both informative and comfortable.
A little too social, and in all reality, he SHOULDN'T be hitting the students. I think all those bruises were well earned. Good for AP Euro, bad for Soc.
Mr. Ortiz is the coolest teacher we ever had. He used to yell at us all the time and we always hung out in his class room. He is the greatest. He knows his stuf
Mr. Ortiz is an awesome teacher... he is very helpful, he gives awesome notes and tries very hard to help people pass the exam.
Great teacher, knows his stuff. But sometimes he doesnt draw a clear line on behavior and is to friendly with people taking his class, causing confusion.
not always the most put-together teacher... but that just adds to his personality! lots of work but well worth it... stick w/the material & ull do well!
his classes are hard and he's very strict. but he IS a good teacher. he just wants his student to do their best, that's all. just do ur work! shessh-ness! >_<
Best teacher on campus, had a very good passing rate for his ap test. i learned a lot, and still know most of what i learned.very cool.just u needa get a woman
Good teacher knows a lot and helps people in their time of need
his AP class was a ton of work but worth it because we learned a ton. I would suggest it to any sophomore who is trying to decide if it's right for them.
he gives a lot of homework but he is cool to hang around with, and is funny on a level that we both understand and sometimes don't, 1st period is the best
