Very split, she is real good at what she does, and demands 120%. Aside from that she's not the most pleasant person and thinks the world revolves around her class. Seems to favor the acapalla choirs over the overs.
Mrs. Buffa is an absolutely amazing teacher. She has such a passion for music and when she teaches, you can tell she loves what she does. I totally love her. And she also makes sure that if she sees someone with talent, she makes sure that she works with them to get them to be at their full potential.
Mrs. Buffa is one of the most amazing choir teachers I have ever experienced. She is incredibly knowledgeable and is truly committed to her students. Her groups always perform at the highest level and have the festival ratings to prove it. She does not appreciate students who are there to goof off and get an "easy A." If that is what you are looking for you are probably not going to do well in her class.
In need of a attitude adjustment. Thinks it's all about her, so if your in sports don't even think about coming late or leaving early.
She seems frightenly slow for a teacher and seems to have great personal issues with smart/attractive female students. She seems to take her own social failings out on the popular female students.
Mrs. Buffa is an amazing teacher. Most people don't like her because she takes her job seriously and doesn't like kids who just take her class for an easy A, because her choirs are not easy. You have
She's a tough teacher, and doesn't admit to mistakes very easily, but the voice techniques she teaches really develops the tone quality and that's what got us great ratings. Love choir, stick with it.
I don't think anybody posting realizes that her choir gets rocking ratings at choral festival every year; even the lower choirs. So while you may think she blows, she obviously knows what she's doing.
You have to acknowledge the fact that she's a good teacher, albeit her shortcomings in public speaking and relating to kids. She needs a strict attitude to maintain the skill of A Cappella. GO ACAPP!!
I agree with whoever said she drove them away from choir. She drove me away, too. The only good thing about her class was making fun of her. She is much to serious about her job. Not everyone in the class wants to be some professional. And she would never let me go to the the bathroom!
Probably one of the best teachers I have ever had. She had a HUGE influence on me and helped me decide what I wanted to do with my life.
