From past experience Deedra Burke has no respect for other people's schedule and believes that her class should be prioritized no matter what. If you are an athlete and want to be in the plays there is a VERY high chance that she won't allow you to participate in your sport if it conflicts with rehearsals no matter how important the event is. The only way you can have a good experience with her is if you are one of her favorites.

I rated a 3 for difficulty because it depends if you are her favorite or not. She has given grades to people when they haven't even done the assignment. She doesn't even have a degree in theater. The two tests I've had in the 4 years I've had her were ridiculously hard. She is extremely disrespectful to her students and the administration. She gossips about her students to other students and reveals personal information to her students. She takes her anger out in class and constantly yells at us

When I was in her drama class I came home every night from tech week crying because of how extremely rude she is. She should not be a teacher.I witnessed her yell at a student back stage during a production because the girl had a panic attack.

You know, she really has a voice and can sure tell ALOT and dosent remeber some things but she is a very good theatre teacher. Like everyone she has her good and bad moments but she is always there for you. She really does care. She often would buy me food and drive me home and especially her husband would too. I loved being there on the weekends all day helping build sets, not because I had too nor was it
Mandatory, but I wanted too. Very nice person!

She can't teach a class, but she is nice sometimes. When she's cranky for some ridiculous reason, she takes it out on her students. When we took the final when I was in the theatre 1 class, she gave us a study guide prior to the final that contained almost nothing that was on the test. We do a lot of random things in her class and class it material that is "essential" to theatre

I've had Mrs. Burke for 3 years now. She can be nice at times, but totally unreasonable at others. She often forgets about assignments and changes due dates and rehearsal times and expects you to comply to the change. She grades tough and has obvious favorites and casting seems random, which is annoying. But her productions are well done, I have to admit. Leaving theatre this year, hard decision because I love acting, but I just hated every moment of class this last year.

Mrs. Burke is by far my least favorite teacher. I wouldn't complain about her for no reason. She is very rude, condescending, and inconsiderate of time. Mrs. Burke does not know what she is doing as a teacher or a director. I have hated my experience.

Mrs. Burke is one of the most "Unique" teachers that I have ever had. Her methods are "Unorthodox" at best (meaning that they are ineffective and a waste of time). Her scheduling expectations are absolutely absurd. She is known for asking her students to plan around her "Tentative" (meaning that she can change it whenever and expect us to anticipate her whims) schedule. Not only have I not learned anything about acting, I feel as though my acting has degenerated. I am limited to 500 letters.

I had Burke for all four years of High School. She can be nice at times, and very sympathetic, but she does have a tendency to be mean to you for no reason when she's in a bad mood. She is intimidating most of the time. Her "lessons" make no sense most of the time and are often based on comedy rather than serious drama. She's well-known for her favoritism. Not the worst teacher, but unfortunately not the best.

Mrs. Burke is a kind and caring teacher who gives so much of her time and energy. She knows a lot about plays and acting; she asks a great deal of students if your in the plays. She really inspired me to come out of my shell.

knows a lot about the plays and is very passionate about them, however, she is very disorganized and very unclear about information regarding rehearsals and exam dates. also has many favorites that seem to " get away with " more things during class even if what they are doing is extremely disruptive to the class. she is also very strict with almost any student that is not one of her favorites.

Mrs. Burke is a very nice teacher who always has something interesting for us to do. She's very kind and nice. Sometimes she makes what we do nerve wreaking or sometimes it's like that omg-I-got-to-go-and-try-that-sort of moment. As we all know there is a little bit of favoritism involved along the way to the really good actors, but they really are good. Someday I wanna be the one with a role in every play though, I wanna have my turn being all-eyes-on-me, but I know I gotta work my way up!!!( ;

Gives 300% to make the plays great however she is disorganized and has a lot of favorites. Not very clear on some of the things she wants.
