She's a really nice teacher and quite entertaining. But her grading so incredibly harsh. Even if you do really well on a writing assignment she gives you, she will REFUSE to give you 25/25, she gives out 24/25 instead. She also has the stupid thing where you have to put your phone into a pocket. One time we had to wait 30 MINUTES to even start class because she was so stubborn and wouldn't start class until everyone's phone was away. She's overall awesome, but her grading is ridiculous.

She was a good teacher. If you do all your work you will get a good grade. If you want to know your grade you just have to ask her. shes really nice if you take the time to know her

Secret to Bakula's class. Get on her good side... a.k.a. stay after weekly, joke around with her, be her friend, offer her food, and you will have a huge advantage. I love her, but she's difficult

Shes a cool person, but she grades unbelievably hard, and her work takes forever to do, because youll want to do well, but just end up not getting the A that you wanted, just as difficult as AP world

Bakula's class is really hard to improve in, so make an excellent first impression because thats probably the grade you are going to be seeing for the rest of the year. All of her study guide questions are on the internet, it is busy work, but the discussions you get into actually help you understand the books better. Tests are hard because she expects a lot, its extremely hard to get a perfect paper, but people do still get As. Don't expect to ever get your work back. EVER. Very funny lady.

I think something's wrong when people going on to AP English get B+s and As after not even being able to get a B with Bakula. Interesting class and book discussions, but no writing prep at all. everything was book study, and you only received good grades if your opinions on the books were the same as hers. but she's a funny person and if she eased up and graded in a more fair manner, it'd be a good class. my grade in Bakula's class is the lowest grade on my transcript.

She doesn't give back work. That's the number one worst part about Ms. Bakula. And she grades very harshly. So be warned that an A is almost unatainable. But she's a really cool person, and her classes are really fun. The projects are life-savers, so think before you do them. Otherwise, fell it out.

Ms. Bakula has a good heart and tries to prepare us for the future, but she does grade really hard and it is difficult for most kids to get an A or even a B. Her tests were hard like final exams.

This teacher ruined my sophomore year. She's really easy in regular english, but Honors seems like it's college level, past AP. She should be fired, because all I'm getting are C's and learning nothin

Busywork is the name of the game, but at least the class is not confusing; the busywork stays on topic. She grades too much on attitude, namely if you like her class or not.

Ms. Bakula is not an easy teacher, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Something that does bother me is that it takes a long time to recieve papers back.

she's not a bad person, but the problem is it is impossible to get A in her class, really (I'm not whining or anything, believe all the reviews here!). I think the problem is that she has set a high standard which nobody can meet her expectations...
