It might help if she could teach us the stuff that she chooses to put on the test. ex... homework problem is evaluate Logbase10 of 100. Test questions is evaluate Ln(-3 + ex) = (5x^2+7)(e^2-2). Also, she doesn't seem to care if a test is too long or too hard, blaming it on us for not studying enough. Then she proclaims that she got an A on it, which proves nothing seeing how her job is math. Seriously just because a few kids get 100% doesn't mean everyone should.
Mrs. Young is a smart woman, yet she words things in a way that can seem confusing to the students. You don't use the textbook whatsoever, its all based on what she gives you, the lectures that you take notes from in class. She would be a better teacher if she weren't so bitter and cold. She can be hard to approach, even for other teachers (I know a couple told me they had a hard time talking to her as well). Its hard to manipulate her to get on her good side.
Mrs. Young is very snarky and she seems to really dislike me. I brought a treat before winter break as a thank you, and she declined it with a 'I'm cutting down on sugars, sorry'. Then she accepted candy from other students. However, she is very knowledgable and i like her love of puns.
She doesn't speak in language that a normal human being would understand, and she assigns more homework than any other teacher in the building.
She'd be a better teacher if she weren't so bitter and mean all the time. For some reason, I managed to get on her bad side and this year has been horrid! She is definitely a smart woman, but her snarky demeanor makes me lose all respect for her.
She is a great teacher even though her class was very challenging. Many people seem to dislike her only because they dislike the subject.
Last year I was struggling with her class. I would go in twice a week and she would spend a lot of time helping just me out. She never gave up on me and I really admire her for that, a wonderful woman
her class is hard but shes really not bad if u understand it. i like her.
Mrs. Young is one of the best math teachers I've ever encountered. She may seem tough if you don't make a very strong effort to understand, but she teaches well
Well, I just got done wqith Hon Algebra II, and the stuff I learned in Mrs. Young's really helped. Even though she is VERY tough, she teaches a good class!
I have a lot of trouble in her class. But i enjoy her class too. She is great at helping you one-on-one after shcool or during jag.
She's awesome. Had her first semester, and loved her. Another monty python freak, like myself.
Mrs. Young is very qwerky, but gets the point across. I would have to say she is the best teacher at BVW and one of the best district wide.
