As a student who had him for 2 straight years, he is one of the best math teachers out there. He is very humorous and knowledgeable. You can give him ANY math question, and he would solve them. You might not like him if you took a non-AP class, but he prepares you real good for AP exams.
To the guy from 2003, I completely agree with you when you say his humor grows on you. It is actually hilarious when he makes fun of kids, and his constant joking (I would say he bats a respectable .300) makes the class fairly interesting.
He is better than you.
class is the same everyday, but he gets his job done well
the thing about Dangerous Dennis Donovan is he treats his planner like its the original copy of the bible. whatever it says is how the class goes. it doesnt matter if the class understands or not.
Think of him as the ultimate lecture teacher. He doesn't go over homework problems, and if you sink, he won't provide much of a life raft. Sarcastic bordering on mean. Very competent, though.
I agree, much better for AP, learned a lot and definitely was prepared for the test in the spring.
Had him twice, didn't like him the first time, much better for AP Calc. Really prepared us for the ap exam with his impossible tests. In the end, a very good teacher and I liked him.
Pretty boring class most of the time. He's a pretty good teacher, just not very fun. Sometimes he can be kind of mean and sarcastic, but it's usually not too bad. Pretty cool.
Hes cool, and if you do yourt homework you'll do fine. U r right though, it sucks going to extra help. His tests can be hard, but he lets you drop your lowest grade if u do ur hw
Stats was hard and unbearably boring, but donovan made it as fun as possible
His brand of coolness, like, grows on you as the year goes on. If that makes sense.
He wasn't a very good teacher, but wasn't very difficult, either. LEARN THE UNIT CIRCLE! It may seem pointless now, but it'll really help you out in Calculus.
