He's EXTREMELY easy and way too nice to people who don't deserve it. However, I didn't like his class because it wasn't even the slightest bit challenging and just increased the gap between French 3 and 4AP. It's mainly a self study class because he just tells you to learn vocab. Class is really boring and quizzes are ridiculously easy — easiest A+ on earth. You don't even do actual oral exams for a grade, which just makes you more unprepared for 4ap. But.. He's the only French 3 teacher sigh
I'm going to be in his class again for French 3 next year, whoo hoo! I had him in freshman year and he was very patient with me. I was extremely shy and it would take me FOREVER to answer a question, but he never degraded me. Very kind and funny. However, be prepared to be bored most of the school year. Gotta love the fact he gives out no hw in the weekends!
A professional at what he does and is very helpful if you have any trouble in french. Merci, Mr. King! J'amie parler francais! :) -T
His class is sooooo boring. But he's really nice and extremely helpful.
He's never raised a voice at anyone. I was real loud and if you say colorful, but he was nice to me and kept me working. He's probably the nicest teacher I've ever had. I really did enjoy French.
M. King est un bon prof! Je suis dans la classe de francais 1, mais je t'aime parler francais avec la classe et le prof. Il est tres sympatique et tres gentil parce qu'il aime les eleves francais!
J'aime M. King! I really liked his class because he was really funny. The way he grades his orals is awesome. He tries to get to know all his students, which I found to be really nice for a teacher.
He's really nice and cool, but when it comes to the French stories, all I did was stare at the clock all period :/
I had Mr. King back in the early/mid 90's/ he was a kind and patient man and a good teacher. Though I wasn't the best student I really felt he cared. Kept me on my toes for sure.
Mr. King was a really good teacher. He was patient, kind, and very helpful. He's one of the few teachers that actually tries to get to know you personally and cares about his students. With most teachers, you're lucky if they know your name. Mr. King has a very good memory, and he knows almost everything, your siblings, where you sat in the class (even after you graduate). He never gets angry, although he can give you a guilty feeling when you don't do your homework or do something wrong.
I had Mr. King many years ago (class of '89). He made French interesting to me and was the main reason I went to work in France one year - my best experience ever! Thank you, Mr. King!
I love mr. king's class. i just hate the binder checks though. that's all. he's a really nice guy who NEVER yells and he's really patient with us.
French one wasn't the best, Mr. King had a lot of really strict rules. Notebooks were awful because I hated bringing THREE BOOKS to class EVERYDAY: my text book, workbook, and notebook. So I just kind of blew the notebook until the last minute... which was a mistake cause he doesn't give you more than two minutes warning. And that is not enough.
Mr. King was my favorite teacher last year. He just makes the class fun, easy, and interesting. Manages to get everyone into the class by calling on them to answer oral questions. The quizzes and exams were tres facile also. Easy class if you just do the homework and practice your francais!
He's the most french nonfrench person ever. Take french 3 just to watch telefrancais, that show's fantastique.
Yup! M. King makes French fun. Although I get in trouble for talking. and talking... but the whoel year 'round it's lotsa fun!
