Great teacher. Not the easiest class, but you know what you're doing eventually. He explains questions carefully and thoroughly. If you have questions, don't be afraid to ask. Monotone with few voice cracks. 2nd semester starts to get harder. Get ready to hear jokes about "aftermath" and "R-O-N-G wrong". He puts tons of effort into planning and is super chill. He checks every test with your work, not just the answer so high respect for him because not that many teachers do that.
Mr. King is one of the best teachers at TO. He is amazing and straight forward. He is intimidating at first. He is about 6 foot 6 but he know what he Is talking about. His test are hard for some but easy for me. Monotone but awesome.
Mr. King knows the material extensively, and is really clear during his lessons. He is always ready to answer questions, and communication with him needs to be initiated by students. He does not baby students and go after them to do their work, which is respectable. He has an interesting sense of humor (math puns and puns in general). My person favorite is "They call me the king of suspense because..." I recommend his class, but take your textbook to class everyday and do not talk while he talks
Mr. King's class is really difficult and he seems to go through topics very quickly. However, if you have questions or clarification he's more than happy to help you. Also, ALWAYS bring your textbook
I dropped out because I couldn't handle the class because of his pace. Oh sure when I drop he signs it so quick, but when this one kids pleads to drop out, he denies him twice. Smh. Bias. Fair, but boring
Quiet teacher, interesting sense of humor, but teaches well and honestly. Would recommend.
If you have ever had his class, you'll always remember how quiet it was. Most students, including my friends, really don't like Mr. King. But he does his job and he does it in a respectable and honest manner. People seem to forget that because someone isn't an amazing teacher, that doesnt make them an awful one. To be fair, this is his job. He works at the school to earn a living for his family. And thats all we as a society need from him. To be a basic Algebra 2 teacher. Nothing more or less.
Hes a straight bully towards students, it seems to be the only thing that gives him joy in class. He has no personality and is very intimidating. He made us buy tissues boxes for him as a homework assignment. He sucked all the fun out of math. Most people I know would switch out of his class if he wasn't the only honors algebra 2 teacher. And a lot of them did drop out.
Mr. King is the BEST math teacher I have ever had. He is very knowledgeable of the subject, teaches everything with excellent detail and understanding, and answers questions nicely. Make sure you behave the way you are supposed to be as a high school student and treat him with the respect he deserves.
I had Mr. King for two years. I have never had an issue with him and he is a great teacher and knows the subject well. He is very straight forward, if you do your homework and take notes, you will pass. I did all my homework and had hard times on tests and passed the class both years. He can be intimidating but he is a nice guy. He will help you out and as long as you dont disrupt class he will like you. He also is actually really funny if you listen to his jokes and actually talk to him.
By far the worst teacher I have ever had. The only time I have seen him smile was after he made fun of a student in front of the class. He is hostile and intimidating. He doesn't understand why some students have difficulty understanding material while others don't. He doesn't like opening his class at lunch or after school and is unwilling to bend on that. My only advice to current students of his, is to try not to get on his bad side.
The worst. Of all my public school years, I have never witnessed such a terrible teacher.
He is a very good teacher and explains well (sometimes too well). HOWEVER, his demeanor makes him unapproachable. If you need help, you need to "make an appointment" for the next day. I've always had teachers who welcome students at lunch or after school to offer help. It seems Mr. King does not want to be inconvenienced. I respect as a teacher, but I am afraid to approach him not knowing if he is going to get annoyed and embarrass me.
By far the worse teacher I have ever had. If you are unfortunate enough to get him, trasnfer out as soon as you can. You will not learn a thing in his class as he is simply unable to teach.
He is boring. If you can stay awake he makes sense. He only checks homework every now and then so if you have him after lunch you're set
Mr. King is probably the least helpful and hardest to understand teacher I've ever had. I understood math until his class, his lessons suck and barely cover the material, and it took him almost a month to grade tests.
He has no idea out to explain or make students understand. I had to hire a tutor to get help.
Does not post on Zangle, refuses to give out homework for the week. Does not give out grades on time.
Great at explaining hard problems, and always makes sure the class understands everything...And anybody who says he doesnt make jokes doesnt know what they are talking about.
Mr.King is very good at explaining the material, and is always willing to answer questions.
King was by far my least favorite teacher of this last year. His examples don't cover the material adequately and he finds it comical to belittle students in front of the rest of the class.
MR. king is a good teacher i understand everything so far in the class...he is kind of intimidating though...but he nevr makes any jokes and teacher that make jokes even if they are corny it makes the class less stressful
he didn't like me and his class was still awesome. he explains everything in a very comprehensive lecture with many examples
Mr. King is my favorite teacher of ALL time and I meen ALL time. He is a really cool guy and is really cool to hang around. He has a great sense of humor.
