I had Mr. Symalla more than a few years back but I can't imagine he's changed. This man inspired my love for science and is one of the reason's I am in medical school today. A+

did not like him as a teacher because we cannot learn from our mistakes by seeing our tests after we take them. I figure this is because he is too lazy to produce different exams from year to year and for retakes so he doesn't want the answers to be leaked. if you don't make eye contact with him the whole lecture he will single you out and waste an extra 5 minutes explaining how rude you are which takes away from valuable learning time.

I just finished ACP 2 with him, and while the course itself is hard, he is able to explain things well enough that the majority of the class can understand him. He is always available after school for at least an hour. He's a strict teacher, but that makes it easier to learn since it's harder to sluff off.

I took ACP II and although he may be strict he help you through any problems you had, and was available to help both before and after school. Gives a lot of advise and lets you learn in your own way.

I'm in his regular chemistry class, and I am absolutely terrible at chemistry but he really is a great teacher and great guy. If I actually cared about doing well he would definitely help me get an A.

Extremely helpful. I took his (regular) Chem. class and he helped me with AP Chem. material, which led to college credit. Great class - it made college Chem. easy. Study, read, and ask him for help.

his chem class was hard, but I studied everyday and did well on almost all of the tests. He doesn't like slackers or talkers and will chew out those who are being disrespectful - he's scary then!

His classes made the first year of college physics a breeze. Excellent at the material he teaches and motivating students. And he'll tell like it is if you aren't keeping up. A few teachers need to.

He's hard, yes, but a good teacher. You WILL know the material by the end of the term or you WILL do poorly. He is the most available to help teacher I have ever seen.

Threw markers at me for being a sarcastic. Tries to make material harder than it really is. Intentionally dislikes people who don't do the work. (Don't sit in the bakc row) He is better than Axt or Lawson, but not my favorite
