Ms. Gomez is my favorite teacher! Other people say that she's harsh and strict, but I think that they're just not paying attention in her class. I'm in her class, and want to be in it for all 3 years and incoming 6th graders: sign up for band! :)

Through all the tantrums, yelling, swearing, throwing of random objects, spitting, and boredom, Ms. Gomez turns out to be a pretty good teacher. She helps people to learn everything music and is great one-on-one when you aren't on her bad side. Just behave well children.....

Learn to duck and cover. It may not work for nuclear bombs, but it will for her meltdowns. She throws things, too, so I recommend also learning how to sidestep and dodge. She also favors the flute section, so expect no help if you end up as a brass player...or as a non-flutist. She seems nice, but if you get on her bad side, prepare to get eviscerated, verbally and literally. She will yell at anyone who doesn't meet her expectations to the point where she brings up sore points to make kids cry.
