She is a bad person and she won't help you even if you have your hand up for half the class. She will also pick a verbal fight with you and lie about what she said in e-mails. Number one tip don't take any of her classes Number two tip (if you didn't follow the first tip) always have e-mails on your phone or saved somewhere that you can get to quickly to show her.
she is the worst teacher in all of john jay high school. she never listens to what you have to say. she take almost the whole class to explain one thing. shell embarass you in front of the entire class. she likes to choose who her favorite students are.DISCRIMINATION!!!!!!!!!!!!! and out of the kids who she doesnt like she basically just hates on them. never answers any of your questions. she will even ignore you sometimes. and act like you dont even exist.
Type of person you wish were never born
Diane Nerwen is a video artist and media arts educator. She has shown her work internationally, including screenings at the Berlin Film Festival, the Museum of Modern Art, NY, the Guggenheim Museum, NY, and the Tate Modern, London. Her work has been supported by grants from the New York State Council on the Arts, New York Foundation for the Arts and Creative Capital Foundation. She was awarded a DAAD Artist in Residence Fellowship in Berlin in 2001. Bad at teaching though.
Definition of a teacher... A person that educates and instructs. Definition of Ms. Nerwen... Crazy old bag that is clueless on every level and doesn't have any knowledge on movie making or film or whatever her nonsense course is called. She should be reassigned to janitor.
Ms. Nerwen is a very selfish and manipulative woman. One day, she will be nice to you, and the next you will realize that she was only nice to you to put you in a vulnerable position. When students point out something unfair she does, she makes it her goal to punish you. She makes rules that have no effectiveness: their only purpose is to make things difficult. She straight out screams at students. These actions are due to her lack of confidence in her own intelligence and ability to teach.
this teacher never shuts up, all she does is rabble on about random not important stuff that have nothing to do with the project. She lets us work for 10 minutes and she is talking for the rest. Its a joke of a class, but she is the worst teacher i have ever had, or ever will have.
Awful. Not clear but takes forever to explain things anyway. doesnt answer questions. goes over things a million times and wastes all class time. also never lets you out on time
I absolutely did not like her. she was the most annoying teacher i've ever had and she would never leave you alone. I would have really enjoyed video art if i didnt have her, its a shame.
Diane isn't the best teacher in the world, but our school is definately lucky to have her. She's an amazing artist and a really cool person outside of school.
you will always need a filter. Always. There is no such thing as artistically gray
A little rough around the edges, but overall a really good person who cares about helping you make your work be the best it can be...
i think that she is a really cool person to hang out with and chat with but as far a teaching i can see how ppl. think that she rambles and puts to much influence into your work. she really tries to help though and she is a great artist.
It takes forever to get anything done in her class. She is not the best of teachers that I have had but she can be nice at times and is also an awesome artist. Better friend than a teacher.
people dont realize how lucky this school is to have an artist as accomplished as she is as a teacher.
Shes funny, but she talks forever, and i mean forever, when she explains anything. She likes stuff to be her way, but she is a good artist. She is very critical, and its hard for u to get what u want. But cool person.
She's a bit eccentric, but so are all the art teachers. She doesn't push her views on us, she just shows us many different works. I love making videos
She limits individual creativity and forces her own taste on her students.
