I really did not like this class because whenever there was work she would give like 4 assignments at once and make them all due at a similar time, so sometimes you have SO much work for that class. She also gives almost no corrections when she grades, it's like she just picks a number. Plus her favorites just get better grades, the best plan is to write what she wants to hear and not fight her on what you would prefer to write
I don't mean to be over dramatic when rating a low score across the board, but I had a really poor experience with Ms. Carbone. I failed to understand a lot of the criteria (it was never written out properly- hardly any rubrics), and on every assignment she never wrote comments. Commenting is necessary as to understand what to work on and improve. It was like she did not care for improvement and just gave out grades. Honestly, I do not recommend this teacher.
Mrs.Carbone is a very harsh grader that picks favorites in her class. She rarely if ever gives out any clear rubrics and directions.
she is one of the best teachers i have had. she is nice and very helpful
Horrible teacher, she tries to "integrate technology" into the classroom yet has a website that looks like a crappy 1990s website made by a fourth grader. She definitely plays favorites, doesn't expla
is the GREATESTTT teacher EVER i can't believe i have to be in a different class this year
Variety of different assignments. Definitely plays favorites. Can be a hard grader and some of what she expected from us was ridiculous. Also if you skip out on a homework assignment she grades your grade goes down by a lot.
At some times, we would have little to no assignments, which would make it difficult to bring your grade up if you got a bad grade on something. At other times, she would just give you a ridiculous amount of work to do in a short amount of time. She was a really tough grader and, in the end, I feel as if I learned nothing.
i've always been a really good writer, but my senior year she basically told me that my writing sucked and made me cry. it was a horrible experience. she was nice when she wanted to be, but she definitely played favorites and graded wayyyyy to hard. she took a bunch of points off of an assignment because it wasn't typed... when all she had written on the assignment sheet was "wp". how was i supposed to know that that meant word processed?
mrs. carbone is a really nice woman, but i have to admit that i get a little bit of a vibe that she plays favorites. it seems like you have to write in a certain style or have similar interests and opinions for her to give your work a chance, but that might just be me. it actually works in my favor, since she loves my writing.
good, interesting teacher. a little too specific for my tastes on essays and projects ..her requirement sheets can be a few pages long..but i liked her overalll.
she seems like a decent person, but whoa she expects way too much and grades way too hard, she needs to chill out a little. I was in level 2 and we got loaded with work.
she is very dull but i have her for study hall and she lets us watch movies and listen to music so it doesn't matter.
she grades way to hard and definately favors her favorite students in the class...im not one of her fans...
she was a breeze at some times and really hard at others- the vocab quizzes boost your grae though and when she was in a bad mood everyone knew it
what does she think shes doing giving us a huge project 4th quarter senior year.
This is a great class. I like how she gives a variety of assignments.
Most of her lessons are easy, except her assignments are graded too harshly. I don't think she has a good concept of how to grade a high school paper.
I think's she's nice, but the lessons are boring... but hey, how much can you do with grammar??
