Here's the thing, if you do not plan on taking AP chemistry, I don't personally think having Mrs smith will do you any favors. However, she is one of my favorite teachers and if you actually make the time to talk to her about your issues you will learn to love her too. Anyone saying she doesn't help clearly just slacked off in her class and didn't try to seek help. She will help you and encourage you if you let her and she is so nice if you talk to her. Highly recommend, you will own the regents
She embarrasses you in front of class. She does not teach. Her style of teaching is a quiz every day a 5 minute (Lesson) on what the quiz is on right before the quiz. She will give you a test, an de give you the review quizzes after which defeats the purpose. The does not interact with kids, and when she writes things on the board she has pre-written not cards. I believe she doesn't know subject matter. Overall she doesn't teach, she makes you panic and learn by yourself. My teacher was YouTube.
Mrs. Smith may be an extremely hard teacher but she is the best teacher I have ever had. She helped me find my love for science. She saw my passion and pushed me hard allowing me to become the best student I could. Her classes are hard and have a lot of homework but it will prepare you for college and overall help you.
She is very tough and strict, and likes things a very specific way. But it's easy to get used to her methods, and she is always available for help either during lunch, before school, or after school almost every day. She really prepares you for the regents. Even if your test scores and average might not be as high as you want it to be, the regents will be a piece of cake for you.
She's tough. The toughest in the school. You will spend up to 5 hours some nights just on Chemistry HW from the textbook. But, she's also, in my opinion, the best teacher I've ever had. She was available before and after school everyday, and if she saw that you were really trying, she would even offer you one-on-one help. She was also really nice once you get to know her on a personal level, even though she was intimidating in the beginning. But she prepares you to awholeotherlevelfor theregent
she is a very smart teacher who expects a lot from her students. While she is very though i have learned more in her class than i have in any other science class. If you work hard you will get good grades and know a ton about chem
She's not a very good teacher. She doesn't have the patience to teach, and she has no problem with making you look and feel bad in front of the whole class.
Mrs. Smith is a though teacher. Really tough. She will make you work, so be prepared for that. She gives though tests, but if you're taking the regents and you put in the work, it will almost seem like a quiz in comparison.
She's pretty strict and Chem isn't the easiest class to begin with but she really did try to get everyone to understand the material. She was more than willing to help anyone who had a question and she's putty in your hands if it at least looks like you are trying really hard and putting a lot of effort in. If you aren't willing to put in extra effort this is not the class for you.
I struggled with chemistry and she worked very hard to help almost every day she was there early and stayed after.
She was very helpful when I was sick and missing class. She even came to my house for tutoring and to make up work.
had her my sophomore year. she was the worst teacher i had throughout my entire high school career. not helpful at all, only has one method of teaching and doesn't adjust it at all.
one of the best teachers in the school. She is a tough teacher but has xtra help before after and during school. Prepares you very well for regents. I finished my regents in 45 mins. you get 3 hours!!
She's tough, she'll make you work, but she's also one of the best teachers in the school. She'll stay after to help, and her classes are always helpful and you actually learn. Expect to work hard the
Mrs. Smith is tough, but if you stay after a lot then it's more bearable. Regardless, I wouldn't want to take her class again, but she isn't as horrible as people are making her out to be.
mrs. smith got me that 5 for ap bio. she makes you work hard, but it's worth it.
Mrs. Smith is a very nice teacher, but tough. she helped me pass the regents but she runs a strict operation
she's a hard teacher and sometimes a bit unclear, but she helps you do well on the regents and is nice
She's a hard grader, but a great teacher. She's the best at getting people to do well on the Regents. Just pay attention and take REALLY GOOD notes.
weekends are for a break from school not for a chance to do huge packets with a hundred questions
alot of quizzes which help us on our tests but yet hurts our averages. She is the hardest chem teacher in WVHS but you learn the most..even if you have a low avg
Won't let her students take the tests out of the room even though they'd be helpful for studying. She claims that all her students have done fine w/ her methods
what kind of teacher doesn't have the answers to the homework? oh yeah, "obviously" a bad one.
I seriously loved Mrs. Smith. I think she is the most intelligent teacher i've ever had. she's one of those absent minded brilliant people. like she forgets to
Obviously i think shes ok. Obviously, we need to study more. Than, obviously we'll get better grades. Obviously, she says obviously a little too much.
We do count the obviouslys and let me tell u! If our calculations are correct it takes about 2 seconds to say obviously and that is an hour wasted thru the year
Very willing to help, does lots of ex. probs, unclear at times, unorganized, control-freak, rarely friendly; Beware of the sigh/gurgle/giggle!
She's Ok. Her class can be overwhelming because there is so much info [obviously] Study your notes and you'll be fine.
I had her freshman year, and I am now a freshman and college, and I still await the returning of my VIRUS ESSAY
Mrs. Smith was the singular worst teacher I have ever encountered. With blatant dishonesty and laziness toward her students--virus essay anyone?--she is awful.
Obviously she can make us feel pretty stupid at times, but our use of the factor label method gets us through it.
Could definitely teach the material more thoroughly before administering a quiz. Obviously very intelligent, but can become condescending.
She obviously knows the material, but <sigh> she can go way too quickly sometimes.
Warning: If you do not write neatly she may become hostile and give you a bad grade. She is really nice outside of class but she seriously the worst teacher.
she's a great person and i like her a lot but she needs to slow down a bit and teach us stuff before she qives us a quiz
Hilarious as anything! She is so incredibly funny...but she doesnt try to be. Keep up the obviously count and watch out for her sighs, non stop laughing
