What a fantastic teacher! APUSH has the reputation for being a difficult class, and for good reason, but he makes it so enjoyable and his lectures are so engaging that it quickly became my favorite class. He's taught it so much that he rarely has to look things up to answer questions; he's simply brilliant. He gives students room to figure their own opinions out and does well at staying neutral. He is PC without tip-toeing but knows when to be honest. Don't expect an A at 1st and take good notes

Jones is the best teacher you will ever have. He's basically got this class down to a science. If you get at least a B in the class, it is almost guaranteed that you'll get a 4 or a 5 on the AP exam. That said, his class is ridiculously hard for most people, so getting a B isn't easy. If you were in AP Euro sophomore year, you'll think you're totally prepared to ace APUSH, but trust me, you will fail MANY essays and lose most of your sanity, but keep going, DON'T FALL BEHIND, and have fun ;D

Let me start by saying this is one of the hardest classes at IHS!!! But it is pretty straightforward to get at least a "B" or "B+" in his class. Then he has a grade bump policy to boost your grade. I honestly did not put a whole lot of effort into the class as I had 3 other AP's and test prep, but if you do you should be able to get a "B+", which is what I ended up getting. He prepares you very well for the AP test and is a very knowledgeable teacher. His lectures are also very enjoyable!!!! :)

Doug Jones is literally the best teacher you will ever have in your life. He is so chill and extremely funny and easily the smartest guy in the school. He was a college baseball player so he probably slayed so much during college. A great guy, no complaints.

US history with Jones, my favorite teacher of junior year. What made him so great was that he is not a busy work type of teacher. He gives you a chapter to read in your history book and tells you there is a quiz in a week. Ultimately he leaves the responsibility up to you. His quizes are reasonable because if you read the chapter and understood it, you will do good on the quiz. His lectures great, interesting and is the best out of all the teachers I've had. We watch a lot of movies though, eh. best teacher

EXTREMELY HARD CLASS!!!I got a high A in Berka and am now struggling to keep my 85% (which I guess is still good). If you had trouble in Berka, may God have mercy on your soul.

One of the best teachers at Issaquah High. I had him for regular US history and he can: 1) Manage a classroom, 2)Create and follow a lesson plan, 3)Grade without bias, 4)Make the class fun to attend. He is an asset to the teaching profession.

Doug Jones is the most sarcastic and condescending person I have ever met. The most unpleasant class I've ever taken.

Wonderful teacher! AP US is hard, but if you put the effort in it pays off. He knows the test well. I got a 5, and don't have to take any history in college.
