I took AP U.S. Histroy with Perry. This class really prepared me for what college was going to be like. The class is more work than any other high school class I had taken but it was the most valuable.
Graduated in 1980--long time ago, my sister graduated in 1985. We both had Dr Perry and thoroughly enjoyed his teaching methods and interactions. We still look back and thank him for his input into our lives.
Perry isn't helpful at all. He interjects his ultra-liberal politics into just about every he teaches which made class arguments awkward because he'd dismiss conservative thought. I honestly did not learned anything from him that I didn't already know. He also tended to use his position as "Dr." to make students feel inferior at times.
By far the best educator i have ever had. He greatly strengthened my writing and supplied a thought provoking environment far his students to test students critical thinking. It is very clear that he loves what he does.
It's been fifteen years, but Dr. Perry was one of the best teachers I had in high school. His challenging, discussion-centered style prepared me for college.
I had Dr. Perry when I was at Peninsula H.S. His class was tough but I learned a lot. He's just a great guy in general -- cares about teaching and his students.
