He is really smart and loves kids, but isn't very good at actual teaching. Which is really sad.
Sends out regular reports on average grade but doesn't keep records of individual assignments. If you need a teacher that will take a hands on approach to help you succeed, look elsewhere.
Mr. Baker is a great person, but a mediocre teacher. He is very time inefficient, and gets stuck on tangent. Despite an unchallenging curriculum, the class is fun.
Baker is awesome, but his class is HARD and you have to keep up with the work or you'll do really bad. His tests are killer, too. Overall he's a great guy and a nice teacher though!
best class i've ever taken. baker is quite simply the best teacher at ORHS.
i still have to visit the guy...he was an awsome teacher and easy to relate to
Mr Baker was the best science teacher I had. He incorporates humor and real life situations to make the class very interesting. He goes off on drawing tangents(sometimes) like Phetteplace does, and he still relates it to chemistry. he is very helpful too.
MR BAKER IS THE BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD!!! HE IS WONDERFUL AND NOBODY BETTER SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT HIM!
He's an excellent guy and I found his class very engaging, but my grades were disastrous-- and not because I wasn't trying.
Mr. Baker is an awesome teacher and I hope that he has an advanced physics class next year so I can have him again
I had Mr. Baker last year. He has been one of my favorite teachers ever. He makes being geeky cool. He uses real-life situations to teach in an engaging way.
I hated chemistry, but he was so nice and such a fun teacher that I could *almost* stand the subject.
He really knows his stuff, and has great examples. He's a nerd, but that's fine, or probably a good thing, for a chem teacher.
Baker is awesome! Best science teacher at Oyster River.
Baker rules you all. His teaching is technically excellent and his style is very fun, keeping even those that are disinterested in the topic paying attention.
