Mr. Gattsek is one of the best teachers I have ever known. Some days he's super tough, but others, he's totally laid back. At the beginning of my class (pd. 1) he spends around 15 talking and just relaxing. He teases the students and just generally brightens my day. He helps a lot, and is only moody when it's around performance times. But then again, every one is. He has helped me in so many ways and helps everyone he can. In my opinion, he's one of the best teachers I know.
Mr Gattsek is the best teacher I have ever known. I just started marching band this year as a sophomore in high school and I defiantly do not regret it. He's more than just a band director/teacher. He's a friend and an excellent role model. He's such an amazing inspiration to a lot of kids in band and color guard(which is what I'm in).
I've been through a lot of rough paths and I always go to him for advice and just someone to talk to. He makes band more than just band. He makes it a family.
I love Gattsek so much. He is one of the funniest, kindest and most respectful teachers I've ever had, and he's definitely more than just a "teacher" in that respect anyway. He will help you with anything you need. He tries to make sure everyone is happy and is having fun in band rather than being competitive. At the same time he really knows his subject well and is a great music teacher. Do band, you WILL NOT regret it.
Mr. Gattsek was on of the worst teachers I ever had.
He was rude to everyone.
He never pushed the band to do anything.
We never did anything hard
I wouldnt lie about this but Mr. Gattsek very hard on students that he didnt play favorites with. Even though he is a teacher and has alot on his plate;there should be no reason that he cant help students in need. One of my biggest complaints is on the treatment of students that make a mistake while playing a musical piece or even a favour for him. There treated like garbage that must not be talked to anymore.Overall he knows alot but is not 100% of the time and needs to ease up on his students.
Mr. Gattsek is a great band director and was very helpful while I was in high school. If you are in the band, he will usually go out of his way to help you. I do not know why people are saying that he only helps female students because I know many male and female students that he has helped during his years at the high school.
I had Mr. Gattsek for my Region Band Condustor and I miss him alot. It was the best band experience i'd ever had. He's so passionate for music and it rubs off on all of his students.
Mr. Gattsek is a great teacher and one of my favorite teachers! He is always there for his students and always very helpful, even if it unrelated to band/music. He makes band fun and is always challenging the ensemble with new music and different exercises. As long as you do your part and are a productive member of the band, you will get along with him.
A bit moody, but love 'im to death. passionate about music and his students. picks pieces that challenges his students without theme realizing it. a little odd sometimes, but still pretty fantastic.
he does cares about the program but cares about himself more. the students are never pushed to that next level. everything just stays the same. i wish we could have different music
Gattsek is the greatest teacher and band director that I've ever had. You can just go up to him and ask him anything and he'll help. He's the reason why so many people join our band.
He is definatly the best teacher/ friend i have ever had! Gooooo G-unit!!!!
He's more than just a teacher...a friend as well. His passion for music is amazing and his talent as a conductor and a musician is unparalleled. He's there for his students and puts in so much time and effort for them.
He's a good guy. He seems to be a bit jaded in regards to his job lately, but his passion for music definitely comes. He's a bit childish and moody and sometimes his sarcasm is really annoying rather than effective.
He is the coolest teacher that you will ever have. He is so much fun and will help you a lot.
He's nice, if you're on his good side. He tends to play favorites, though.
Gattsek is more than a teacher. He puts in so many extra hours just because he cares soo much all about all of us. He says all the time that he loves us, but he really does. ~band
kewlest band teacher ever!! very helpful nd nice...i cant believe he putz up w/ us!!
Mr. Gattsek rocks. Very cool guy...tells a lot of interesting stories. =) Your the man.
Tries to have personal relationships with almost all of his students, not a teachers place if you ask me. Spends to much time on inferior players.
He's very mean and he talks about people behind their backs
Mr.G is an awesome guy. Loves to tell storys, but they are good stories. He's a cool guy!!!!
gattseks a great teacher, but i have had some probs with him in the past, however he is a great man and has helped me out iwth alot of stuff, thanks alot dude
I only just met him but already G seems like an awesome person. He is a band geek like the rest of us. He does his job well and relates to his students.
G is a great teacher, and a great friend, you can tell him anything, and he will help if he can. I am glad I am part of band, and hope to do better.
For my first 3 years of HS I was not in band/guard nor did I really even know him. He is just one of those guys that you know is a great leader!
G is one awesome guy. He really loves his kids and he's someone who everyone can really count on. He's fun and nice and can teach you while being your friend.
good band director, great friend, great counselor, just a cool guy in general
Mr. Gattsek is truly an inspiration to those aspiring to further themselves in a music career. He's served as a mentor, teacher, and friend during my 3 years so far in FTHS. love ya, G.
