- he is very unclear on assignments, and much of the class is graded subjectively...it is a pretty easy class, though

He's often very vague and isn't very helpful in developing writing. I like to write, but I haven't learned much in his class.(permalink) (report)

makes the worst jokes ever. I still haven't learned anything in his class, because all we ever do is write essays and read books. Has given 2 quizzes and 0 tests, but probly like 20 writing assignments.(permalink) (report)

he's thoughtful... he asked the class how we felt about the writing assignments and changed them accordingly. He's also really helpful. I never feel comfortable around anyone fixing my writing, but he was nice about the way he told you what you did wrong.(permalink) (report)

He's a bit strange and has only given 2 quizzes and no tests so far this year. When he gives a quiz (both were pop), it is hard so be prepared. He doesn't seem to care much about grades, he'd much rather just "learn for fun." He underestimates the time it will take to do assignments and spreads out homework very unevenly.
