Honestly this was the best class I had ever taken at San Marcos. Mr. Burrows truly cares about his students and is willing to go the extra mile so that they can learn the material. Not only a class that is based on learning but also life skills. However, even if you do earn an A+ in the class he doesn't give it to you, you just get an A.
Mr. Burrows is a very hard working teacher, he definitely cares about his students and making sure they really understand their subject matter. My biggest complaint is with the permanent hearing damage I have suffered from being apart of his lectures. I strongly recommend any of his future students to invest in a good quality pair of ear muffs, even with wearing the 30+ decibels models you can easily hear his lectures. My personal favorite was a combination of ear plugs and ear muffs.
I had him for AP Euro, a class I didn't need but took because I heard he's integral to the SM experience. Honestly, one of the best teachers I've ever had. Yes he's hard, yes he yells, but he care about his students and knows his subject matter. He is a teacher I will remember and tell my grandkids about, he's that good. I learned more about history and life than I ever expected and am in general so glad I took at least one of his class-es
One of the most amazing teachers I've ever had
Definitely my favorite teacher; lots of work, though. Around school, freshmen are often told that they need the "Burrows experience" and need to take his class, either sophomore, junior, or senior yea
Eric Burrows is the best teacher I had in high school. He is incredibly intelligent, compassionate, and devotes so much of his time to his students. His classes are heavy on the reading, but if you ap
history is not my favorite subject but i enjoyed being in his class
I think that he is a great teacher, though people often misunderstand his harsh exterior.
Great teacher, but his teaching style does not really go well with me. I'm not the kind of person that learns straight out of a book in one night.
I absolutely LOVED having Mr. Burrows for World History last year! He's extremely kind and funny and has a great method for teaching; albeit he's a bit disorganized. Wish I could have him again!!
Best teacher I have ever had. Kind hearted, passionate and intelligent in every way. If there is one thing I miss most about high school it would be my class with Mr. Burrows. I highly recommend taking one of his classes not only because of the interesting history you learn...but because of what you learn about yourself. Brilliantly taught. Excellent.
One of the funniest teachers with the best teachingn strategy for history at the school...quite simply the best teacher and mock trial coach.
Worst HIstory teacher I ever had, almost made me not want to study history in college. I learned almost nothing and was very disappionted.
He can be a little intiminating when you first meet him in the classroom, but he really does care about each student individually outside of the classroom. You will be challenged academically more than ever before. He yells A LOT and loudly!
Mr. Burrows is WAY overrated. He's nice, very knowledgable, and a good lecturer, but also pretty disorganized and not helpful in preparing for an AP test. Don't expect to ever get any papers back either.
Mr. Burrows is an amazing teacher who you will remember forever. If you are in one of his classes be sure to be ready to work hard and investing in earplugs might be smart.
Burrows in a word..."Inspirational" One of the best teachers !Any student should consider themselves lucky to have had him in their lives. He deserves better students.
what can you say about Burrows? its just burrows! He challenges you and can be very extreme sometimes but it is all worth it because you learn a lot.
Such an amazing and inspiring teacher! One of the few to emphasize the role played by women in history and encourage the participation of his students. And he has a sense of humor!
I LOVE MR. BURROWS!!! he is THE BEST teacher and nicest person I've ever known.
Good man, just a little too influenced by drill sergeants for my taste.
