In my opinion the test were super easy. Only bad part was the outlines which take hours each night but you get used to the work and it's not that bad. He is a very nice person and extreamly knowledgable on the subject. Always answers questions very well and is very good when explaining directions. Just don't be caught on your phone, then you see his bad side. 10/10 would have again.

Mr. Ertman is just so fantastic. He has vast knowledge storage and really knows his subject. Although admittedly strict, but I actually learned a ton from his class. Definitely try to pick him if you can. You will get a lot from his class if you are hard working. Very rewarding. (and he plays tennis lol)

Knowledgeable and intelligent, yet simultaneously disconnected and inflexible. His passion for Literature energizes me and the discussions we have always leave me thinking and smiling; His love for rules restricts my learning, and his lack of empathy for students external factors, forced me to write a half-baked essay on a book that i loved.

Mr. Ertman is strict, but in a good way. He makes sure to keep the class going, and keeping distractions away in order for us to learn. He is by far the best teacher I've ever had! Even though alot of people do not like the fact that he makes us do outlines every night, those outlines- whether people accept it or not- do help us to remember things, and all of his HUSH classes do generally well on tests. He makes lessons memorable, and that may be the main reason. I hope I have him next year!

Dirty Erty knows what he's talking about for Lit, he's in love with classic works in an endearing way and is refreshingly forthright while talking to students. An honest grader who can spot good prose and elevate poor prose if you take the time to talk with him.

He may seem like a tough teacher at first, and his outlines are demanding, but I learned a lot in his class, and scored over 100% on the semester final. He really knows his stuff if you're smart enough to listen.

He was actually the first teacher who made History interesting for me, he does give alot of outlines and I would have switched back into his class in a second if I didn't develop such an aversion to them over the course of my first semester; but aside from the outlines he is really an excellent teacher, he grades fairly and you actually learn, he's really cool too and he likes what he does, which really does make a difference.

I really liked Mr. Ertman. Outlines are a pain, but they help when studying for exams. Some of his lectures aren't nearly as boring as many other teachers'.
