Reputation for being tough, though I never saw less than an A, and she is incredibly brilliant and works hard at her craft. I got an alumni/ae award from Amity in 2012, and Fanucci showed up at the banquet. Classy move.
She is now retired, but she ruined the Amity science department with some of her staff choices, what can I say?
An era is coming to an end as mrs fanucci retires this year. Her love of cats has out me in good graces but not good grades. It is a gpa killer unless all you do is focus on school. All the time. And the other honors classes will be severely behind you. She does not pause to answer questions and awful hits her head on the wall if you don't get a question right. If you don't love chemistry, don't take her class, which you can't take anyway because of her retirement
I think that she is a very good teacher, just very difficult. I personally like Chemistry, so I like the class, but she is a very good teacher
sure, she's a hard teacher. but she really helped me prepare for the SAT Chemisty test. i got 770
Goes quickly in her class, but knows exactly what she's talking about. For those who seek to learn chemistry, but not for those seeking the 4.0's
hard. she has L1 and honors classes but she only teaches honors, the L1 classes were doing the same stuff. test grades may be dissapointing, class is boring but so is chem in general. her class is one of those "ugh" ones.
kids complain about the grading, which may be justified. but shes a great teacher. going into jacobs class, the kids who had fanucci are a lot better off.
Very old school, but not in a good way. She's hardly a teacher- she just lectures the entire time and doesn't bother answering questions... If you're smart, don't expect anything lower than a B or anything higher than an A-
She teaches a quite easy class, just as long as you're in level 1. Although I've heard honors is a different story...
extremely hard class, but if it werent for her i'd be screwed in jakes' AP Chem class.
She was a good teacher, she just overloaded us with work. I learned a lot but I suffered a great loss in my GPA.
im done with her! thank goodness...but i honestly have to say that although she ruined my sophomore year for me as well as my GPA, she was an amazing teacher. I learned a lot.
best teacher ever... if u r willing to learn. but very hard grader... i got a 45% on my first test, and i usually get all A's. pay lots of attention on math.
She relies on "arbitrary logic", and does not accept new ways to solve problems. The factor label way she teaches is impractical.
wow...she ruined science for me...i used to like science and even wanted to be a scientist...she teaches it fine but yeah...shes spoiled it for me
Prolly hardest teacher in school, but you will be preped for SAT II chem and any college lelvel chem like Chem II
Take her class then take SAT II Chemistry. Two people in my class got 800's last year.
HORRIBLE, can't take those overhead notes, bad grader, not cool at all
So hard but an excellent teacher you will learn so much
Mrs. Fanucci is a fabulous teacher for all those who are serious about learning chemistry. She can be tough with grading, but her class is very benefical.
Very hard class, but you learn a lot. Willing to help and likes teaching. Good person for those who are serious in chemistry.
Shes a really nice lady, but u better love chem to do well in this class.
really not as bad as everyone says, theres a good deal of work but shes really helpful. one of my best classes
Hardest EVER! I get like 2 hours of hw from her class alone a night- and labs take like 10 hours to do for her
She is the scariest teacher I ever had. Very intimidating, yet gave me a definite basis for college chemistry. Overall, being in her class was beneficial.
Very good teacher. Good lecturer. Strict grader on labs.
