She seems like a good person, but if you don't follow her format and do problems the way she does it, you're going to fail.
Stamper's probably the best AP science teacher here. She actually teaches the material in a clear, concise manner. Stamper puts in a lot of effort and her door is always open for any questions.
She is strict; however, she is very helpful and makes chemistry fun and easy. She wants you to improve and spends her lunch time answering any questions or confusions you may have with chemistry.
Some people love Stamper because she doesn't care what you do in class. You could be using your phone to cheat on a test and she would not mind. Honestly, she is not a good teacher and when it comes to AP (if you do take AP, which many students don't because they cheated their way through honors and know that they can't cheat on the AP test), many students fail... only 2 people got a 5 in the whole school and only a few passed. Sad but true.
Stamper is completely overrated as a teacher. For starters, she does not teach throughly and only teachers by examples, not by explaining why it is or the important principles of chemistrys. When she grades your work, it does not matter if it is right or wrong, it only matters if it "looks good". So you could get all the anwsers right but show "bad work" (completely subjective, all teachers have different preferences) and get a B or C. Also gives very little time to do the tests.
Stamper is a very picky and meticulous teacher. She does teach well and knows he stuff but she grades overly harshly. Her emphasis of units in intermediate circulations and significant figures is meaningless. She is very stubborn and thinks that there is only one way to work a problem. This is not true, especially in science. I guess this is why she became a teacher and not a actual chemist.
I loved Mrs. Stamper!! She's a little quirky, but it makes for a fun class. She is very knowledgeable and very approachable. You can go into her class at almost any time to get help. She pays big attention to detail, which can be annoying when it comes to grading. Don't slack and keep organized and she'll love you.
Class is not worth it. Extremely hard and extremely strict. I feel like I'm in a prison. Everything is done at a specific time, you need a bathroom pass. You can't go jn before the bell rings. Also, if she doesn't like you, she just won't like you. She doesn't want to answer questions and avoids questions....
Her class is difficult, but it is Chemistry AP, so what can you really expect? The material is hard, but she does a great job of making it more palatable. You can really tell that she cares about her students and wants them to pass the AP test. I struggled all year in her class, but I ended up doing way better on the AP test than I would have expected, mostly because she was willing to give me extra help during lunch or after school. Outside the classroom, she is awesome, plain and simple.
Her class is really hard, but she is a great person. I love her, and she is always ready to help if you ask. She'll tutor you during lunch or before school too.
Stamper is the Best!! She is so knowledgeable and always there to help. Her chem 1 honors and chem 2 ap classes are difficult but you will learn so much. Great class if you are interested in the sciences. Stamper is an amazing and dedicated teacher!!
she is a pagan
I liked her (: She was pretty funny. Lots of people say that her class is super hard, but you can go in during lunch anytime if you wanna review with her. Her tests are definitely not as impossible as other people said :|
I hate her class so much. As a person, She's really awesome and nice! But her class is a living hell. The tests are impossible and the work she gives doesn't help at all. She weighs the grades at the end of the semester so it's impossible to get your grade up. I hate it.
She blocks part of the white board during notes, so some people can't see what she is writing on the board.
One of my all time favorite teachers at PV. She knows what she's talking about and teaches it very clearly. If you take notes during class, the hw is a breeze. If you do your hw, the tests are easy. S
I love Ms. Stamper! She's my favorite teacher and though she's hard, she really teaches you what you need to know. I love her quirkiness and her enthusiasm.
She can be a little odd sometimes, but she is a very good teacher and explains the content well
Best science teacher I've ever had. She really knows her stuff and prepares you well.
the tests are hard and homework is SOMETIMES an overload but she's really good at teaching and shes AMAZING!
chem is a really hard and demanding class but stamper is a totally qualified teacher.
i love stampy, she puts in as much effort as you do, if you try you will be rewarded. she's very clear and is always there to help if you have questions. she's insanely smart, trust her.
i love stamper. The faces she makes are hilarious. I definitely learned a lot
Her class is the biggest waste of time ever. you cant even understand anything she tries to teach. Its like watching a staticy tv show. Dont make the same mistake i did, transfer out!
hardest class I have ever taken.Expects you to know everything in the book.wants you to succeed and will help you if you come in and ask her for help.I took chem 2 ap and it wasn't as bad as thought.
She is hard, but you will learn chemistry if you want to learn it.
This woman cares so much about her students. She is by far the best science teacher at our school. She puts in a ton of hours outside class to help her students and Science Club members even more.
She's the best teacher I've ever had. I learned so much from her. Her classes are hard, but she.s a lot of fun.
she knows what she is doing but she isn't very good at teaching it. offer to go up to the board when she asks for volunteers because thats when you learn the most. she also makes the funniest faces.
hard class but you learn A LOT. really nice. if you can i suggest you take robertson but if you can't its not the end of the world. good teacher , works hard to make sure you get it
She's a good teacher and knows what she's doing, unlike some other chem teachers at the school. Hard, hard class though. Take good notes in her class, study for her tests, and don't slack off.
Her class is really hard, but she's an amazing teacher and amazing person (really funny and nice). Sure Robertson is easier, but you don't learn as much
Great teacher, hard class. She tutors during lunch and after school if you need it. If you're not planning on taking AP, it's not worth taking the class though
Very clear. Lecture style class. Gives you the notes and it's up to you to copy them and study.
She is really really hard, but a great teacher. If you don't care about getting a B or C in her class but actually want to learn something, then she is for you
I TA'ed for her and she really hated me with a passion, but she was a great teacher and i learned alot. Dont get on her bad side
Her classes are hard, but she is an amazing teacher! She actually teaches unlike many others at the school. I strongly recommend you take her classes.
