Dr. J was one my all time favorite teachers from high school. I actually drew caricatures of him that he found funny and encouraged. He was very encouraging of people as people not just English students. I still want to know what "bahoolies" are, though.

Dr. J was very skilled at making you think you weren't learning anything, and that nothing was going on in class but humor, but 27 years later I still use the techniques that he taught me to write and think critically.

I am 43 years old and he still stands out as one of my best teachers. A wonderful, down-to-earth guy.

mr j's class always seemed pretty random, but he's an awesome guy, and eventually you get the hang of it. he just thinks we all need to work up from somewhere.
