I graduated from Providence in 2002, and I still think about how much Mr. Whetsel helped me. He woke me up when I didn't even know I was sleeping. He taught me to look outside the box and be the person I want to be. Anybody would be fortunate to have him as a teacher.
I am a graduate of Providence High School, 2010. I have had two years of community college and am currently enrolled at ASU. Mr. Whetsel was without a doubt the most influential, wise, and able-minded teacher I have had the fortune of knowing. He taught my class the literature and course material he was designated to teach, but also taught us invaluable lessons about life. He taught us to yearn for knowledge, to think for ourselves, and to seek truth. He is the reason I aspire to be a teacher.
Easily the best teacher at Providence. You can definitely tell he really cares about teaching and the message he is trying to send. His class is always really entertaining and interesting. He can be tough about grading, but its totally worth it to be in his class.
Mr. Gary Whetsel is the best teacher i have ever had. Just try to understand him and do what he asks of you. take full advantage of the journals. they helped me thru a lot.
Mr. Whetsel's English class was probably the best class that I've ever had. It's not just learning for the tests -- his class teaches you about life, yourself, and the world in general. Amazing!
The funniest, smartest, and most well-read teacher I think I've ever had.
The one teacher I had that stands WAY out from all the rest. His intelligence and wit continue to inspire me.
Mr. Whetsel made more of an impression on me than any other teacher. Teaches you about life, not just how to pass a test.
SAT Prep waas the greatest. I dont think it did much for me but it was still a good slack class. i;m still tryin to decide if he likes me or not
Hands down, the best teacher I've had to date. He's a good guy who knows a lot about life.
the GREATEST english teacher ever. he is simply the man.
Hes an ok teacher, fairly easy, but somtimes is very unclear about what to do, or changes his mind on the fly. Can somtimes be a smartass, even moreso than the students.
