Mr. Benack is one of my all time favorite teachers, I still go to visit him!! He is not only one of the nicest people but he cares so much about each and every student and helping them achieve. I struggled in math until he sat down with me and showed me how it was done. He really truly cares about each and every one of his students
Mr. Benack was hands down one of the best math teachers I have ever had. He really cares about each of his students and will take time out of his day just to give one student extra help, and he takes time after school to give extra help as well. He is hilarious and his class is always a great time. Some people think he's difficult, but some find him pretty easy. He's such a great guy and an awesome teacher!
Mr. Benack is the kind of teacher that every student should wish to get. He is so passionate about his job, invests his own personal time into his students, and truly cares about what he teaches. Although he is a difficult teacher, coming out of his class will make you a more organized, diligent, and prepared students. There need to be more teachers like him in the world...
His tests are difficult, but if he is always willing to help a student, and if you study for his tests, a good grade in his class is not incredibly hard. His tests and intense preparation have made the midterm and regents very easy.
Never have I found myself growing so much as a math student then with Mr.Benack. It is evident that he puts time and care into everything he does, and is an excellent teacher.
HE GETS SO MAD WHEN YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND SOMETHING AND NEEDS TO BE PATIENT
He does not just push you a bit but he pushes you until you break. Thats why most kids drop out of his class. According to administrators 77% of the information he teaches you is not on the Regions Test. Mr. Benack believes he deserves to be a professor and if someone says something is hard he says back, "Well, its hard stuff." He does not help you and if you begin to start doing better he only assists the kids on the edge of dropping out of his class.
Mr. Benack is definitely one of the best math teachers I have ever had. He is so invested in his students and making sure that everyone understands the material, has a great personality, and pushes everyone to do their best. Although the class can be a bit challening at times, with hard work he really makes you into a better student.
Mr. Benack is easily the best math teacher I've had. Not the easiest, but so invested in his students doing well. Work hard and you will get so much out of it. He genuinely wants you to learn, even if that means pushing you a bit.
Mr.Benack is among one of the best teachers I've ever had. He dedicates time to help students that are struggling, has specific days where you can stay after school to get help from him, and goes above and beyond to ensure that with extra practice you do well on his tests.
I am a Freshman in his enriched algebra class, which is the hardest class or thing I have ever done in my life. Even with studying 10 hours before each test and getting a tutor the exam difficulty is over the top. Most kids dropped out of his class due to the difficulty of his class. He may attempt to help you, but is not understanding and is extremely hard compared to other teachers teaching the SAME COURSE.
Mr. Benack strives to help his students as much as he can, from after school meetings, to one on one meetings, to mid term review study sessions, to retaking of tests. A understandable guy who makes learning fun but a little difficult. Teaching methods are great and he is great at getting a point across. One of the best math teachers at Greeley... But a tough Enriched Algebra teacher. That toughness leads his students to great math years to come
Mr. Benack ATTACK actually destroyed my gpa freshman year because his enriched algebra class was impossible. he mad many suffer the pains of 2.5s. if your not a student that is on your prime in terms of math. he will destroy you. his tests are extremely hard and his policies surrounding them were always changing because kids kept on doing bad on them constantly. fortunately now i am in standard geometry bc of him and have a 4.0. i hear he's a good teacher for calculus though. if you are smart
He's a good teacher, but he is far from the best math teacher I've had. He explains the work well and does his best to help students, but he really holds grudges against students that he almost just decides that he doesn't like. He's always getting involved with my business and he contradicts himself all the time.
He's not a nice guy all the time in class (and I probably deserved it) but oh wow was he invested in everyone learning and understanding concepts to their fullest.
The one math teacher who actually gave a reasonable amount of homework - and the homework actually helped me, no more plain old busy work! I feel really prepared for college after taking his class
It's so clear that the guy really knows what he's talking about. The only students he doesn't get a long with are the disrespectful ones who don't put enough effort into the class - so they pretty much deserve it
Mr. Benack completely transformed my work ethic, which my parents can't stop praising him for. He really pushed me to be my best, and I can't believe how far I've come
He did the impossible and made me love calculus, and he's just a really down to earth guy to talk to
By far the best math teacher I have ever had!!
Mr. Benack is a teacher who really cares about his students like they're his own children. He has all of values in the right place. Sure, his classes are a step up from past years, but he was always willing to offer his help and support your learning. His teaching style is impeccable and very clear. While his expectations can be demanding and very specific, he is totally transparent about all his policies. If I were a parent, he's the kind of person I would want as an influence on my children.
Mr.Benack is a great teacher, he is always prepared and keeps the class engaged while teaching.
I was in Mr. Benack's class before I switched into another class and for the time that I was there, he was a great teacher, always prepared and very knowledgable about the subject. I've heard many people say that he has mood swings, but if you get on his good side (be agreeable, participate, etc) he will like you. The exams were not that hard in my opinion, and he always had extra help beforehand. definitely recommend!
Mr. Benack is impeccably prepared and gives everything he's got to help his students succeed. His exams are fair and reflect his lessons and HW assignments -- he even let us retake all 2nd semester exams (even individual questions!) for full credit so we could be exempt from the final exam. Use of technology: exceptional. He makes himself available for extra help with or without an appointment. Essentially, he just really cared about me as a student and, more importantly, as a person.
Benack ATTACK! This amazing teacher has done the unthinkable - for the first time in my entire life, I actually look forward to math class. Wow, what a guy...
I think this is my favorite year of math yet. Mr. Benack does his best to keep the class interesting. He always makes time in his schedule to meet with you and help you out. He's also pretty funny. He's one of the few teachers I know who gives a reasonable amount of HW. Basically Mr. Benack is da-BOMB!
I don't think that I've had such a great teacher in my entire school career. He genuinely cares and really wants you to succeed. But slackers...beware!
BEST MATH TEACHER EVER!!!!! He helped me so much with everything. Overall, a great person inside and outside of school.
Very strict teacher, gives a lot of homework. About 90% of my class dislikes him. Very hard to understand when he's teaching and also not an easy teacher.
I had Benack for BC calc and he was awesome. He can be strict at times, but only because he's focused and wants to do a good job teaching. Literally 25/27 kids got 5s on the ap this year which proves
I personally think GB is a good teacher. He can be hard, but he ALWAYS makes himself available for extra help! Not all teachers do that. He really cares and just wants his students to do well.
I concur with the guy below me. I really don't understand why Mr. Benack has the reputation of being a bad teacher, because he is SO well prepared every single day and got me to understand calc!
Benack is one of the best teachers i have ever had. I have never seen a teacher care so much about his/her students. He'll always take time to explain something, or help a student. Great guy!
Mr. Benack really isn't the bad guy everyone says he is. I think he's just misunderstood. But I do think he's too smart to be teaching HS. His classes can be too challenging. And gives too much HW! =/
benack is probably the worst teacher that i have ever had. in my life.
Mr. Benack is innappropriate in class and has huge mood swings. Add his poor teaching abilities and poorly written tests, and you have got one classicaly bad teacher.
He is generally a nice guy, but at times he is very cold and impatient. He has an attitude which is "my way or the highway" which is fine but I think at times he takes it to an extreme
He's hard. You're screwed if you slip in his class because it'll be hard catching up. But he's always there to help you when you need it. You just need to show him that you care about his class and he'll like you. Don't get on his bad side. HUGE MISTAKE!!
He is a great teacher and although he can be kind of hard he is a nice guy that expects a lot of his students.
don't talk so badly about mr. benack; he is a GREAT teacher and really helps you learn the material
Benack is the man. You may not do as well as you would like in his class, but he is such a great teacher and prepares you so much for years to come
Not only am I unprepared for the Regents, but I am uncomfortable and nervous around Mr. Benack. He is not a good teacher and I really disliked his class. The tests are ridiculously difficult and he does not give nearly enough time to finish them.
not a great teacher, tests are hard (never learn topics in class)
He's alright. He's kinda weird though.... I personally like him but a lot of people think he's really hard and mean. Whatever... I think he's alright.
Most amazing teacher ever. Helps you so much in math for the upcoming years. He's the man.
Benack is a great teacher. at first i didn't like him, but now he's the man. one of my favorite teachers
HE'S THE BEST TEACHER EVER!!! HELPED ME IN SO MANY WAYS!!!!
B-MAN ROCKS! Hes really not that hard as long as you get the homework done every night, which he GRATIOUSLY puts online as worksheets! My FAVORITE teacher EVER!
hE IS REALLY HARD... I MEAN MAKES 2+2 HARD... BUT HE IS WILLING TO HELP
sometimes hes nice but eventually u find that its fake because he gets frustrated and then snaps at the students. very hard too, feel like unever learn anythin
not the greatest teacher, but he is available if necessary. Also one of the nicest men I have ever met
I can't say I love the guy but he really made me a better math student.
VERY VERY TOUGH! sometimes unhelpful if he DOES NOT LIKE YOU. can make your life hard. very good for taking notes. organized notes easy to copy and study off of
He's nice and he explains stuff okay, but his class is hard ans sometimes gives long homework
Very cool guy. Kinda hard though. Kids seem to like him.
he's a real stickler and real hard too. but at times he can be really funny and nice and then switches back to his rigid attitude
yeha hes really nice and all, kinda funny. but hes SO hard!!!
Good teacher, fun at times, you learn a lot, till tests come around. Doesn't seem to be wrong very often, if at all.
