I love this man he not only tries to teach but wants you to succeed in life
Dr. Carroll is a great man with a sense of humor but he can not teach. His style is obsolete. All he does in class is tell irrelevant stories, history that barely relates to the subject, and anything that has to do with the subject is just "filler" work. He bases his grades on how much he likes you and doesn't teach at all. All we do is just translate passages from a book, and nothing else at all. We, the students want to learn. Seriously, administrators of the Boston Latin School, evaluate him.
Caroll the elder grades based on how much he likes you. Unfortunately, he didn't like me very much .'~'
dr. carroll is awesome! he is super funny and unbelievably smart. He teaches you more about people skills than he does about latin. still so cool!
Dr. Carroll's hilarious. and he grades you on how much he likes you. I still have my copy of March of Folly!
Yes he is not only entertaining, he taught us alot of things about life that can't be learned in other classes. Not only is he one of the greatest teacher of all time, he taught me alot of latin.
he really didn't teach us anything. he's just funny but im so glad i have ms foley now, shes awesome
a very nice and funny guy. teaches allot about life(not so much latin).grades on if he likes you
LORD CARROLL IS THE MAN! that class made 10th grade worthwhile. surprisingly, i learned more latin than i thought. and his jokes are the best things ever. what an awesome guy.
He teases students, plays favorites, and intimidates some kids. Not a good role model.
i don't have him. but my history class is next door to his room. seems like they're always having fun over there. not much latin being done, lol
He doesn't teach Latin, but he is very knowledgeable. A bit scary, but very nice--and good grades--IF he likes you.
Had over a decade ago. I didn't learn a thing, and I had him as a sixie. It went downhill from there. The grades are really random.
He can be helpful when he wants to, but he has favorites and doesn't really teach Latin at all, so the grades are random.
