She is the best teacher I've ever had!!!! She knows everything in the course
Cannot teach and has no control over the class. Nobody does the homework because it's not helpful, and her help classes suck
I got my trimester test back, I got a 57. I failed her for this tri. I kept going to her help classes thinking that I would learn and she would be helpful, I was wrong. She explains simple concepts in horrible ways that nobody understands. Everyone in my class uses a tutor and they all passes. Nobody does her homework since it does not help and she almost never checks it. Don't put in hard work for her, find a teacher that actually teaches.
She definitely knows math, but definitely does not know how to teach. Unless you're a math genius or have the time to re-teach yourself everything she "teaches", don't expect anything above a B.
Bad teacher. Does not explain the concepts, she just sort of talks to herself up in the front of the room and then gives you 30 problems for homework. She usually gives you relatively easy problems for homework and to study with, but then gives you the hardest forms of the problems on the test.
Here's the thing about Mrs. DeGeorge, she is very bright and extremely kind, but NOT a good teacher. That's the weird thing, clearly she knows Math and is smart, but just cannot perform the art of TEACHING. I definitely suggest going to Math Honor Society help classes or trying to get a tutor to help you!
Is she the worst teacher at SHP? We do have a candidate. Alg2 first test of the year -- should be the easiest stuff. Study, study, study and BAM! The test is off-the-charts hard. And woman won't allow no calculators! She is a joke! Walking in her class is like walking to an execution. And it's not like she's got a good rep. Look at these ratings. How does this woman still have a job?!??!
The worst teacher I've ever had. She tries to explain things but no one ever understands her. Teaching yourself is a must. She is a failure at life.
Probably one of the worst Math teachers I've ever had. She fails to do her job consistently, and most students end up going to other teachers, or hiring tutors to pick up her slack. Her help classes aren't helpful, and she constantly teaches simple concepts in the most abstract and difficult ways.
My advice, transfer as soon as you find out you have her.
One of the best teachers i ever had. Not only is she really smart, but If you don't understand something, she'll explain it to you several different ways until you do. She also offers many help classes, (although she's not required to).
Speaking from experience, she's a really awful teacher. Frankly I could teach myself better than she teaches the class. She is a nice woman, but her style of teaching leaves you drowsy and uninformed.
Not a hard class if you are willing to work hard (you should have already learned that from Mr. Allen). Homework is worth an an entire test grade so do it. Review sheets are typically the exact test f
Not a great teacher. I had her Junior year and regretted it. Sure she lets you retake tests.. but you wouldn't have to if she taught her stuff better.
She is completely incapable of teaching a class. Students tend to feel like they know more about the subject than she does. If you have her drop it quickly because she will waste your time and effort
the one time she tries to be helpful and give us extra credit. the assignment is impossible to dowitha degree in calculus. she tarnishs the prep name
I should be a teacher here cause i can't be any worse than her
i now cringe when i see the word algebra thanks to her
On my first day of Junior year, I told a senior I had Mrs DeGeorge. He laughed at me and said, "Just teach yourself." True story.
She confuses herself and her students. Assigns homework and never check it or not assign it and collect homework. Sends out homework at night through Group Fusion and you are responsible for it. Never clear on homework (due date and what is due): readings (3 books), labs, & sheets.
I have Miss DeGeorge in two subjects.. one of them is an honors course, math.. and i have an A in both of them which are my only A's.. talk about her son or the giants and she'll easily get off topic.
I find that most people who say that she is "hard", "unclear", "stupid" and "mean" are people who put very little effort into their work. I worked hard in her class and I always thought she was helpful and the complete opposite of what you would consider "mean."
OK computer teacher but god awful math teacher. confuses herself and her students way to easily.
Even though she stumbles and "draws blanks " alot in her lectures, she's very nice when ya got to know her and is friendly as long as you do the work she gives
she is really helpful and tries to explain but she is still confusing and unclear
