He really likes triangles and microwaved water, plus he has a good selection of teas you cannot drink from. I like his glasses. Totally groovy!
He's a really good guy and teacher since he is always there before school willing to help. He jokes with students and the class is pretty fun to be in. Warning though, DO NOT underestimate the tests. If you think you're prepared then you're wrong, he'll manage to fit in something that'll utterly confuse you if you only did the homework, it's just not enough. Study!
I had Billingsley freshman year and I thought he was a pretty awesome teacher. Always loved the hall of fame song. Honestly, if you do the work and pay attention in class the tests and quizzes aren't so bad. Although I heard he's retiring soon. So sad to see him leave.
Dude... retire already.

Great teacher. Just pay attention in class. Solve problems the way he shows you because that the best way to get max points on the actual quizzes/tests.
Mr.Billingsley is an awesome accelerated geometry teacher. He may seem intimidating at first, like for the the first half of first semester, but he's a humorous, loving, and caring man! I LOVE HIM! As long as you take notes and listen to him, you'll do extremely well. His tests are usually extremely easy, they're always problems from his reviews, that he always completes the day before. He has definitely contributed to my freshmen year and I'm hoping to get him for precalculus honors.
Billingsley is the bae. Better than the rest of the accelerated geometry teachers.
Mr. Billingsley is one of the smartest meniI've ever known, and he has a wonderfully dry sense of humor. His voice reflects his shyness, but he's a good man.
Such a troll. Excels in deadpan humor. Just take good notes and do what's needed. Not that hard.
Had him for both Precalc and Geometry. His teaching style is very simple. To get an A, simply do your homework consistently and take notes in class. He goes over the test or quiz the day before you take it. If you do what I have said, then you will do well. However, make sure you check your work and work carefully. A few mistakes can cost you lots of points, even though you know how to do the problem. He is a really funny guy and I hope he doesn't retire soon. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!
(Pre-calc honors) He is the best math teacher I've ever had. He explains everything and is always willing to accept questions. He goes over reviews for the chapter test, and the test is basically the review with different numbers. He's always available before school for extra help. And he's such a cool guy. He'll play games with his class and sing and dance for you. He's basically your favorite grandpa and teacher in one. Love you Mr. Billingsley.
He is absolutely the worst. I had him for accelerated geometry freshman year, which would involve a lot of proofs. He just proved the proof and didn't tell us what the major idea was. I got an A because I taught myself. He said I was his star student because I got good grades, but whenever he called on me in class I was too busy teaching myself to know what he was doing. He does the homework for you, so you don't learn. Also, he assigns A LOT of it. His voice makes you want to fall asleep.
At first I didn't do to well but as after the first few chapters I got the hang of the way he tests and teaches. He gives really good reviews the day before the test that are extremely similar to the test so pay attention. He is pretty funny and nice. If you ask him a question, he will gladly help you.
He is really scary because when someone asks a question he gives bad attitude so everyone is afraid to ask. Not just that, making tests 90%? that's not right.
He is sooooo funny! And he's pretty nice too. His class is super easy if you pay attention. He literally goes over the test with you the day before.
I don't know why people hate him... just talk to him a lot and joke around with him. He's not the best teacher, but if you ask him for help he will help you
He is funny if u get his jokes. If he likes you and you arent afraid of talking to him hes rly nice and helpful. It is really easy to get an A in his class just do good on the tests which is 90% of y
He has a monotone voice which can be difficult to hear/understand. His Geometry class was difficult for me and he is not very helpful. Switched teachers and my grade went up about 10%.
I don't think Billingsley is that bad. He actually does teach, but he explains whats in the book. Student assume that if a teacher has a monotone voice and is old means that he's a bad teacher.
Super boring, doesn't teach, and tests are worth 90%. But he grades super quickly, so that's good, I guess...
Honestly, I don't think he is good at teaching. I don't like how the test is worth 80%! People fall asleep in his class.
I think he's a great person, but as a teacher, maybe not so much. His tests are really hard and I had to get friends and a tutor to help me out. But he's funny and really nice :)
Not very interesting... his voice can get monotonous. I actually passed the class but that was with a tutor while teaching myself... Good luck...
he says anyway a lot... but it's easy to pass the tests if you pay attention the day before since he pretty much does the problems for you but w/different #s
I honestly have to say I don't why everyone says hes a horrible teacher...He's funny and he tries to make geometry fun. The only thing I hate is how he makes tests worth 80% of your grade.
Hes a really nice guy but his tone is a little boring. He knows geometry but needs to make the class a little less boring. But like I said, hes a really nice guy
he is extremely boring and explains problems in a very complicated way and expects too much
he's the worst teacher ive had in a while ... a nice guy...but a crummy teacher
He was really boring, but if you listen, you'll do very well. He has ...quiet humor. He was really exciting once though! I don't know what got him that way though. it was only once.
Eh, he was ...alright. A super old taecher; 20 years +? Even though he's experienced, i would expect more. Tries to joke & entertain kids, but doesn't help his students enough with good elaborations.
i had him for summer school and he was pretty cool to me. i noticed how he was mean to ppl we didnt pay attention and stuff. he always did brain teasers loved it and as for teaching, i thnk he got it
Don't know what you guys are talking about. Bilingsley is awesome. He's a really good teacher and he's HILARIOUS. He's always there in the morning, before zero period even, to help.
His class was very monotonous: Every day, the students come in, sit down, and doze off while the teacher does his own problems on the board. Often gives too much homework; little student interaction.
At first I thought Mr. Billingsley was a decent teacher, but as the year went by, i realized i was wrong! I mean, yes i think he's really good at math, but he cant teach! his tests are IMPOSSIBLE!
He's a good teacher, and he is always available to help you early in the morning
He's a nice guy. Pretty funny too. Still, the way he tries to explain things is a little confusing but I ended up catching on eventually.
He teaches you what you need to know. Doesn't show you much of his personality, but he's a good guy. GOOD MEMORY: THE DOT GAME, HAHA.
He's a great person- so funny!! But i had a really hard tome in his class- he did try to help me though
Billingsley is a funny man. He teaches well. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Do the homework and pay attention and you will do well in his class.
funniest teacher i've had. many in my class would agree. mr. billys the MAN!
i like mr. b. he gave me altoids and let me draw on his board
I graduated 15 years ago, an am now a math teacher myself. I strive to be the teacher that he is not!
Graduated five years ago- but still remember all the laughs! Great guy- good teacher but I hated geometry. Got my first D. (And my last!) Keep it up Mr. B!!
He's very lenient with his grading, and the homework assignments aren't that bad. Just make sure to DO YOUR HOMEWORK and you'll be fine.
Very hard to be in his class. He's very helpful and very clear. Nonetheless, his tests are very VERY difficult. Answers are like 3213/173
can see why people dont like him; doesnt help if extra time needed on his part; im good at math, so i can easily pass his class. overall teaching just OK
He's an okay teacher and a nice guy pretty much, if you're on his good side. I can see how he might be mean to people though.
Took Geometry with him many years ago. He was very asinine, not helpful, would get irritated if asked too many questions. A horrible teacher.
didn't learn anything from the class but it was funny when he played rock music during tests or when he left the class to talk to his golfer friends
Totally strict teacher...not to mention a complete moron who didnt care if his students pass.
