Not as bad as others may make her out to be. I had her for both Honors Precalc and AB Calc. Her teaching is fine, in spite of her mistakes every now and then and some clarity issues. She's not the type of teacher to easily have a personal connection with. Otherwise, she's knowledgeable about the material. She wasn't particularly great at preparing us for the AP exam in my opinion, but I still scraped by with a 4. Mathematically inclined students won't have many problems with her.

Though she want exactly the best teacher, she knew the material and was very helpful when you asked her questions. Her English is perfectly fine, though she comes across as cold-hearted and insensitive. She knows the material but often makes many mistakes. The people who aren't getting an A in her class probably just aren't paying attention or are not studying hard enough.

calculus with her is so hard. It is so hard to understand what she is saying and let alone teach you math. She also takes off points for the smallest little mistake.

Ms. Kim's class was really great and she's really fun... But you can't understand what she's saying half the time. Also makes mistakes slightly more often than I'd like for someone teaching us the material.

Although she might not be the best teacher in the world, she's really nice. Compared to Ms. Gaffney, I'd much rather have Ms. Kim. Ms. Gaffney might teach better, but if you don't understand something and you ask her about it, she'll yell at you. Ms. Kim won't. If you're not doing well in her class, well, that's not her fault. You should ask her questions, because she does help. If you're not paying attention in her class, well maybe that's why you're not doing well. But I like her.

For people who said she didn't teach, it was most likely because you weren't paying attention. Got As in AB Calc and am not very good at math. As for her English, it was perfectly fine she's been living in the US for years.

Ms. Kim is great, I went B, A first semester in that class, and I think she is good at explaining the material in a way that is understandable. She is very nice and only makes people feel stupid if you actually are stupid ex. Joella Vaughn

First of all, Mrs. Kim: discipline your students!! She tolerates so much and turns a blind eye to the crap going on behind her back. Second: learn to teach. She is constantly, constantly putting the wrong answer/question on the board or answering it incorrectly. In her class, its the students who have to do the teaching. She sprays kids in the face with a water bottle if they fall alseep which makes for some good entertainment.

I love her. Best teacher I've ever had. She is really very helpful and understanding if you listen in her class and are not rude to her. She helped me go from an E to a C. I love Mrs. Kim.

She isn't phenomenal, but is a solid, good teacher. I hear a lot of bad things about her, but honestly, she's fine and other kids just don't pay attention.

Pure hell. I got a 5 on the AP, and routinely got borderline Bs in her class (pulled through with a 79.5 third quarter). Everyday is the same: tons of mistakes, arguing with students about mistakes for entire period, and using the argument "in college it won't be so easy". Someone needs to tell her she's teaching in high school, not college. Finally, she's a very harsh and unfair grader. I remember when I drew a sine curve, she took off 2 points (20 pt. quiz) with the note "not curvy enough" at the side.

I didn't think she was bad at all. Was pretty nice and friendly, and you can't really say she didn't teach the material.

She makes wayy to many mistakes and doesn't always explain things very well. She also grades tests and quizzes very poorly marking points off for really bad reasons.
