He's fun to quote and make fun of, but he's a pretty decent teacher. Some of the class discussions are impossible to stay awake in but he mixes in presentations and projects to make it semi-intersting

Teaches you more than you know. While some of his classes are near pointless, most of his lessons will last you throughout your life. Has a great attitude and wants you to pass. Don't try to fake the papers though, his grading can be rough but nothing someone with some skill can't get through.

Great teacher. His class can be difficult and very work-intensive at times, but he is not too rough a grader. He does a great job helping you understand literature and teaching you to write literary analysis. Definitely the best English teacher I've ever had and, teamed up with Mr. Struck, the best HUM II you can hope to find.

His class is generally enjoyable, although some classes seem pointless. got great at writing literary analysis and research papers. very nice, clear instructions, but grading often depends on his mood. the best option for HumII though.

Okay, I'm a junior in his first year teaching junior hum - and I agree that we do get busywork, but he really knows what he's doing. English isn't a hardcore class where you can say "These are the solubility rules. Go home, memorize them, and tomorrow we're having a quiz on it." I personally find the discussions/quizzes on the novels we've had to read very useful: I can definitely draw examples out of at least one of the novels for any essay topic we wind up with.

Amongst juniors, Mr Green is strongly disliked. His grading system allows some people easy A's and screws others over. Didn't learn much, not prepared for SAT's at all, and grades depending on his mood so you never know what you will get. Too much busiwork too.

Mr. Green started teaching English 11 this year, and frankly, I don't like him very much. He gives us research essays with ridiculous time constraints, and he never actually tells me what I've done wrong. Overall, he hasn't helped my writing much, and I don't see it happening any time soon.
