Mr.Brown is the kind of teacher who you can get alot out of if you are dedicated enough to what he teaches, if you're not serious during his lessons, if you don't practice, and if you fool around and don't listen, you won't have a good time. Most of the negative reviews I see here are probably from kids who mainly wanted their credit, which is understandable. If you really want to dedicate yourself to music, this teacher is great. If not, don't be upset about his attitude, its how he teaches.

Temperamental and judgemental, Mr. Brown is an excellent musician. A good teacher, however, he is not. He prefers jazz band best (understandably, since he plays sax). But Mr. Brown's methods are ineffectual. His attitude and lack of empathy lower morale. And for these reasons, the last four years were horrible.

I thought he was a nice guy despite what everyone else said. He does get angry a lot but it isn't that bad unless your the one he is mad at.

I am a lot better at playing my instrument than I was last year in middle school, so he teaches a lot about the instrument. However, he constantly yells at us and has discouraged most of his students.

Sure, Mr. Brown's got some quirks, but he's also got way more experience in music than any of us. Stop being so sensitive and listen to what he's teaching!
