Nice, Nice, Nice, Nice, Cares, Cares, Cares, Cares, Funny, Funny, did I mention nice? :) Like from the bottom of his heart nice. Probably nicest person/teach/organism I've never met. Class.. Chill, pretty interesting when he tells about his days working for an environmental group. He also follows the textbook pretty religiously, so if don't get an A, it's your fault for not reading the book. Genuinely nice. :)))

Very nice teacher, goes over the textbook extensively. Outlines are kind of tedious, but great for helping you score well on the tests. Used to work on environmental projects for a job, so he's very knowledgeable :) Great, fun class.

Valor is a nice teacher, but you can't expect this class to be an easy A. Put effort into his class and actually review each chapter. You have to be ready to study everyday if you want that A. One thing you should know about Valor is that he expects you to participate. His class can get boring, and he'll get off topic a lot, BUT he is one of the best bio teachers at DBHS so if you get him, be thankful.

Valor has a fun personality but I dont think he is that great of a teacher. Although i do prefer him over many of the bio teachers, his class was pretty hard. He is honestly a great person and loves his students & loves to share stories but his teaching can get a bit confusing. I do recommend him for Bio Honors but not so sure about AP Env. Sci!

I had him for bio honors and I thought he was great. I enjoyed his class and learned a lot; he taught us well. I switched to Iwanaga 2nd semester that year who was 10x worse. Valor made me really like bio and I'm now going into college as a bio major.

Valor is probably the best Biology teacher ever. its a lot of lectures and he doesnt go fast enough to get to the body systems, but he teaches very well. he doesnt give a lot of hw. though somedays it is. honestly tho, the hw is just outlines and wksts. he doesnt do a lot of labs and such like that and his class is boring, but hes funny and extremely nice. his tests are pretty hard tho. he however does not help much when you ask him questions. he tells you to look in the books....

Worst teacher to have for APES. Doesn't know what he's talking about and doesn't teach; just reads a powerpoint taken straight from the book. You basically have to reread each chapter to do well on the tests. Our class won the APES project without ANY of his assistance and he didn't even give us the full 100% we deserved because we were "missing aspects of our project." Are you serious? Ugh. Glad I'm done with the class

Very nice and funny teacher! If you try hard to learn and get participation, you will automatically be ready for the test! I switched to Iwanaga 2nd semester and Valor is 20x better. Great guy.
