Patricia Groom was not just a teacher to me. She was a great friend, role model, and guidance counselour for a guy who, in many ways, just could not get his act together. I was a mess my senior year and I'm 99% sure that Mr. Groom saw through my pseudo-confidance barrier and knew deep down that I needed someone, besides my parents, to care about what I did and what I accomplished. To me, she was like a cool aunt who was proud of me no matter which way the wind was blowing. Simply put, amazing
