Check out the Passion in Science Awards from NEB...always knew she was crazy passionate about science!! I cannot begin to list the things that I have been able to remember from her class (5 years ago) for my current Bio course.
She looks like Tim Allen.
Mrs. Hagins was a n awesome teacher! Her dedication to teaching is legendary as well as her crazy Saturday research sessions. I learned so much from her about biology, life and myself. She pushes you to do and be your best. I have to admit, sometimes it is hard to believe she is doing it for your own good...but then you realize she has made you a better student. I hope she enjoys her retirement but I doubt she will stay retired very long--she has so many interests...cows, antiques, cooking,..
Neutral review: Not the best teacher you could get, but not the worst either. Very strict. Sometimes very nice, other times very nasty and biased. Mood swings dramatically. Legendary among freshmen as the person to avoid(and her previous students that are now sophomores, juniors, and seniors) as one of the teachers they hate with a passion. Personally I think she's okay, except the fact that she doesn't exactly enjoy questions. Overall, glad she has retired, I hope she has fun vacationing.
The best, nicest, most entertaining teacher I have ever had! She is a hard-working teacher who is always willing to help her students, even if it means staying until 6pm or coming in at 8 am on a Saturday to work on Science fair. She teaches her students to not only absorb the material but to understand it. Guaranteed 5 on the AP if you're in her class, at the least a 4.
Definitely an experience...at first you don't think she is teaching you...then you realize she is teaching you how to think and learn. Amazing teacher!!
As department head, and experienced AP teacher, her students get many things that other students don't get. This includes extra materials/ equipment for the science fair and also events that only her class did. However, she speds too much time on the Science Fair project, and as soon as the science fair ends she does more than 20 chapters in less than 2 months, when you had done the other 30 in almost 6. However more students from her class went to regionals compared to anyone else's.
When she says a test is open note or with a partner, you can expect it to be very very hard. But a great teacher who teaches great and really works alot and stays sometimes till 9 at night helping her students... All in all a good teacher
She's amazing! Helped me on two science projects and was a really engaging and fun teacher.
unreasonable? Who are u kidding? Lets see-she stays until 5 or later so u can finish your work, she comes in at 7 My lvl 2 friends says she gives u more chances than you deserve!
ok, she is strict but if you guys would just shut up and do the work you wouldn't think she's mean. When you are upset or have aproblem-she cares!!
Good at teaching the material, but REALLY strict, and kind of mean. Those don't have to go together.
Helpful when she actually taught. Great personality and stuff, but AP biology should really have been called 'Lv2 - Issues Surrounding the AP test and the Science fair' because thats all we really talked about
Mrs. Hagins is an awesome teacher. She is very helpful in class, and adds a sense of humor to the classroom.
if she cared any less then all of us would be in trouble, Mrs. Hagins rocks
She is a very helpfull teacher and i have learned alot from her this year. She not only teaches science but she teaches lessons for life.
she loves what shes doing and thats what makes her a great teacher. Her little examples make everything clearer. Shes a great teacher!
Her class is great. I've learned a lot this year. Her experiments keep my interest. Megan H
Even though she can be mean, and I am utterly terrified of her, I love her. She's so cool and she really knows and loves her subject. Her persecution is funny
