in his AP class, there is discussion, get ready to talk and type!!! HE gives about 7 assignments a week but is lenient on the due dates, as long as they are in by the end of the MP its all good! enjoy the field trips and keep it up!!! MUCH READING AND EVEN MORE STUDYING NEEDED FOR THE AP EXAM!!!!
He's cool. He's actually very lenient when it comes to due dates. Every week, he gives us a menu of things to be done or things he "aims" to accomplish (which I promise you is A LOT of shizzle). He gives you these due dates, but nobody follows them. It is more like it should be due something this week (but not a week after or a month). Overall, in class, you have a lot of fun, but you get A LOT of homework. Advice: whatever he gives you finish as much as you can and you will do fine.. Good luck!
While he might challenge and irritate you to the point of insanity, in retrospect his was one of, if not the best class I ever took. It was difficult and at times I hated it, but it's a compeletely invaluable experience. It transforms the way you think and actually makes you more mature. I'm grateful for the time I spent there, and acknowledge that I wouldn't be where I am today without his teaching.
Barely ever went to class.... Wouldnt be where I am if it wasn't for him...
I had Heller 7 years ago, and if not for his class, I would have never gone to school to become an English teacher too. He plays the devils advocate with many of his lessons...gets students to think
One of the greatest teachers and people at clarke. Can always sit down and have a conversation. His assignments are challenging but you usually learn something. Class is fun. Due dates dont exist.
mr. heller is very awesome. he's so lenient about due dates and understands that we all have a lot of work to do besides his class. thats very good to no. very relieiving
I had Mr. Heller about six years ago and to this day think back at his class with fondness. He's insightful and passionate about the subject; makes me miss HS!
No class prepared me for college writing like this class. Freshman year was a BREEZE compared to Heller's HS AP class...Trust me, its worth it
Had him about 15 yrs ago, great guy, very passionate about teaching.
He has very relaxed deadlines, which encourages procrastination.
