I've never had such mixed feelings about a teacher. I liked him in the beginning and then he started to piss me off. If you have your hand up to answer a question he wouldn't call on you but the second you put your hand down bc you don't know the answer is when he calls on you and makes you look like a fool. But he can be nice and funny. Also don't use your phone in or near his classroom even if the period hasn't started
Dircks was hands down the rudest teacher i have ever had. sure, his lessons were interesting... that is when he actually taught. His lack of a sense of humor and harsh grading made the class uncomfortable. I only had him for one year and he clearly did not like me, but its ok the feeling was mutual. On several occassions I tried to express my creativity and was immediately shut down. The class was supposed to express creativity, not limit it. Do not take this class, you will regret it fully.
Mr. Dircks is a really good teacher! I've had him two years in a row now. He really knows what he's talking about, and he does try to help if you don't get something. His notes are really detailed too. Do the homework, because a lot of the time he incorporates the homework into his lessons and asks questions relating to the homework. He follows the rules strictly, so don't take out your cellphone unless you want it taken away. He's corny, but he's funny and a very good teacher!
Mr dircks is an amazing teacher, i had him last year. He is so smart and every lesson he makes is so well thought out. The greatest history teacher and probably one of the best teachers iv had of all time. The day he retires, mepham loses somethig gr8
DO NOT BRING A CELL PHONE IN SIGHT OF HIM. extremely strict but great humor takes teaching seriously
very strict and has a dry sense of humor. he is so organized and gives you great notes. but honestly i believe he hated the time he lived in because all he talks about is the colonel era and how simple it was like him.
"if you can not bear the heavy burden of bringing a pencil to class"
Such a great teacher. Makes every little lesson that otherwise would be quite boring... so much fun.
The guy sure knows how to teach but he has to be one of the most structured human beings I have ever met...he probably has never strayed from the rule book in his life in any manner, so try to behave very well in his classes
He's a nice guy, and good teacher, but also a harsh grader.
More like "Mr. Jerks" Awesome teacher, terrible mean human being.
had him for ap. great teacher, takes time to get used to his teaching and style. strict, hard grader, but the curve helps and he prepares you for the ap. def participate in his class, he likes that.
Good Teacher. He's nice and he listens. He's also helpful and clear in what he says and does. And overall his method is effective and it works!
he's actually one of my favorite teachers. social studies is usually my worst subject, but i actually learned things in his class! Mr. Dircks rules. B-)
A decent teacher but if you're on or think you're on your way to being a stand up comedian, try your best to avoid his classes, I made the same mistake twice.
He's a good teacher, but he needs to get a personality!
Mr. Dircks makes his lessons interesting, which makes it easier to absorb the great amounts of information that we have to know for our regents
Great class. Not much of a people person, but an awesome teacher. Fun lessons, and I learned a lot.
opens up with best joke ever "my name is mr. dircks, don't forget the r".
Mr. Dircks is my favorite teacher in the whole world.
