it's not a class, it's a lifestyle. mr. mel makes the most dull, uninteresting books amazing. you reallyyyy have to follow closely to understand his sporadic train of thought, but it's worth it. you will actually learn how to think in this class.

Mr. Melchinger is confusing and can't seem to stay on one topic or even answer a question -- He picked favorites and chose to pick on others. He made harassing comments that made me feel poor about my writing. He squashed my creativity, too.

One of those teachers where you look forwards to the classes.Amazing teacher, and an even better person. Class isn't just about English--it's about LIFE. Not afraid to portray life for what it is.

He's a nice guy, and I learned some stuff from his class, but he most definitely holds entirely different standards for different students.

He's a great teacher. Class is always interesting and even at 8 am I felt like I could learn something, even if it was more about life and less about English.

Personally I really like him. He can veer off topic but it's somehow always relating to the reading. He makes English class interesting. Also extremely smart

class is always interesting and he explains whatever we don't understand in detail. we don't stay on the same thing for too long, either.

An outstanding teacher. He keeps discussions alive and obviously puts a lot of effort and thought into students' papers. The insight he offers is very helpful.
