Mr. Giles is excellent! His classes are thought provoking and very likeable. Was an excellent asset to Northside
Affectionately dubbed "Juice" by his students, Mr. Giles is a wonderland of brilliance and knowledge that really only shine through to the truly enlightened.
I think Mr. Giles is one of the few amazing teachers in Northside, who creates a comforatable learning environment for the students. Likeable teacher.
weird teaching techniques, he gives 100 minutes lectures every class, dunno how are we suppose to stay away. lol
easy class but i just get little things wrong that i don't like the class & i don't really understand much of the stuff he's teaching
The class is HARD. Assignments are difficult, but on the bright side... OK he's just hard
Did not like his class at all. Tough grader, was not clear on some assignments, makes every class into a Chicago Studies/Global Issues hybrid.
He takes a professorial approach that not everyone is ready for. If you're engaged his wonderful. If you don't want to work he's a nightmare.
writes excellent college recs. don't get on his bad side.
He is never, ever clear as fara s what he expects, grades seem to be entire off the top of his head, and he has berated students for an hour straight.
oh god, where to begin? he never tells you what you're supposed to do, he dodges questions, and he spends most classtime talking about geography and his Mac
You blindly walk into ALL assignments unexplained, undirected, and in some cases, misled. He has a college-like teaching style minus structure and organization
MrGiles is awesome. hes loves what he does and really knows his history. of course his class is hard, sometimes unclear, but he teaches very valuable lessons.
cool guy, and not as bad as i thought it would be. he likes to talk
The man is a spy i tell you .....What kind of person goes to Africa and sells encyclopedia. + he answers your question with his own question...What is that...
with a suave persona and a smooth teaching style, hes the perfect man to be a social science teacher.
Took him freshman year. Nice guy, too many quizzes!!!
He's enthusiastic about what he teaches, and I like hearing stories of all the places he's been. Maybe a little more clarity on assignments, though.
yeah you hate to have his classes, but he's one of those teachers who you'll be happy you had later on.
i've never heard a clear answer of my question from him. he often makes a problem more complicate.
Mr. Giles relies on the intuition of students, becuase he will change what the assignment is before it is due, without telling his students.
