I had Mr Lenox in the early 90s and it seems nothing has changed. Although I came to find out, if you can make it through his class, and do well, college English will be simple.
Not a good teacher. He would tell jokes 1/2 the class period...but then expext you to have known what he meant to teach.
The things come to mind for Lenox: cynicism, dry humor, and randomness. He made his points clear enough. However, your understanding of them depended on your ability to keep up with his rabbit trails.
Capable of being really rude, but mostly pretty funny. His sarcasm is delightfully harsh and biting.
I'm not sure what we were supposed to learn from his literature classes, but grammar-wise, he gave us lots of priceless tools; the grammar skills of other people in college appall me. At times his classes were mind-numbing; at others, genuinely fun
Nice guy...he's a cynic, but it works with him. His classes could use some umph
