I graduated in 1997, today in 2015 MSgt. Tierney remains one of the most positive influences of my life. His words of wisdom and commitment, to ensure everyone he comes acrossed feels safe and inspires them to be themselves, is an asset many leaders lack. I had made this discovery during my active duty service between 1998 and 2003. During my four JROTC years, being engaged with the class was not difficult, due to MSgt Tierney's leadership.
Sgt. T was like a father to all of his cadets and he would always find the time to help each and everyone of us out in the time of need. He knew that we all had some kind of problems and he knew just what to do. He is the greatest teacher that has ever lived. His passion for teaching and his words of wisdom help his cadets and students to do their very best. He is the coolest guy and being a retired Captian for this man makes me even more proud of this man telling and encouaging me to to my very best.
