Awesome, Wishy Washy is the best. He knows a lot about history and interesting to talk to. May be a little wierd when you meet him, but when you know him, he is awesome

He tends to have favoritism. He is not afraid to call you out to the entire class and/or yell at you, if you as much as whisper to a classmate. But to give him the benefit of the doubt, he does know a lot about US History and tries to interact with his students (even if it may be weird sometimes) and tries to make the class fun. Yes he teaches out of the textbook, but he is awesome for having his students do self-taught work, since that's an essential skill for college and higher level courses.

Emotional and gets hurt easily but isn't afraid to attack you. Class time is always spent doing irrelevant work that doesn't help. HW assignment will always be a paragraph long and won't make sense. He can't teach so he strictly bases everything off of the textbook.

He knows a lot about history, but literally just teaches out of the textbook. He spends about half of each class looking for random objects like a judge cape, projector screen, or license plate or spends twenty minutes trying to find the west of the classroom. He is strange and does/says odd things. Overall, he is nice, but very strange, ineffective at teaching, and spends most of the calcite looking for pointless objects.

Mr Washburn is not a good teacher. When I had him, he taught next to nothing in class, and constantly resorted to text book reading in order to teach, rather than engaging anyone. His constant lectures and inability to get on topic with anything was beyond frustrating. He one spent an entire 40 mins talking about his babysitter. He is unreasonable and emotional in grading, and has little to contribute to class. If you want a good grade, join model UN or the hockey team. Sorry, and good luck.

If I had to use one word to describe Mr. Washburn, I would have to say erratic. Some days his teaching skills are decent with a touch of comedic elements, but some days he just seems like he woke up and is high on something strange... Sometimes he is just one mean guy who bothers you for something little and somehow he is easygoing at the same time. Erratic HAS to be the best word to describe him...

anyone who hasn't expirenced him for MUN or YAG are in for a shock...his personality can be erratic but don't let it get you down. he really cares about his students and is always willing to help. little to no studying is required to get an A!

I had him for AP Gov Pol and got a 5 on the exam without any outside studying. Without a doubt, if you do the assignments, PARTICIPATE IN THE CLASS DISCUSSION and not be rude, he will have no problem with you. It is not hard to get an A in the class, I ended with an A- because I screwed up a few quizzes. He is very understanding, a very engaging and interesting teacher, and has a nice sense of humor (a nice break from the drag that is all the other classes).

History was my highest grade until I had Mr. Washburn. When you ask him a question, he gives you a 15 minute response, but avoids giving you an actual answer. I found all of his classes pointless and a waste of my time.I'm a

He's a really cool and interesting guy, but isn't really a good teacher. Most of the stuff in his class comes straight from the textbook :(

I liked him, though AP Gov Pol wasn't as easy as i thought, but he's definitely a really nice guy and very understanding, as long as you have the work ethic to show. Work hard and participate in discussionand you'll do fine.

Wow my opnion of Mr. Washburn has changed a lot over this year. His teaching style is still a little cramped, but I think if he would loosen up a bit more he could be a great guy and teacher. I will miss him next year....

A lot of the stuff we do in class has nothing to do with what we're talking about...... and PLAY THE PROFESSOR, COPS, and TERRITORIAL TREATY TALKS????? Definitely not my idea of "fun games". PLEASE be more concise!!
