Ms grassi does hover a little and sometimes she gives suggestions that make you feel bad if you dont take them. But overall, she's a kind hearted person and wants to see her students succeed. If you're shy I don't recommend taking her classes, because you do have to ask questions to retain information. She does demonstrations often and they usually do take a long time but if you pay attention they help a lot. Her grading style is easy. Btw, if she doesn't like your style, it's ok. You won't fail

Ahhh Grassi... Whoever said this before was spot on... she loves [most] students with great artistic ability, but if she does not appreciate your style, good luck. Art is supposed to be about expressing yourself. In her class, its her way or the highway. My advice to new Grassi students? Don't talk... or do anything while she is talking. Don't waste material. Try your best, but Grassi's opinion is much more important than yours if you are planning on getting an A in her class..

She's not very nice in general, and very strict. She won't let you doodle while she's talking and spends way too long demonstrating things. If you doesn't like your artistic style, she will fail you.
