Janelle needs to know your story in an effort to have understanding of a situation if you fail to meet the standard expectations.. One thing she will not tolerate is an unsafe environment where other students feel threatened and disrespected. You do not belong in her classes if you do not feel that you can be part of a "community" - as that is what the environment is all about in her classes.
