Ms.Chufo is fabulous. The first day I walked into her class, I thought she was a bit loony, but looking bad she has stretched my mind and helped me in ways I didn't think were possible. Yes, she did BS some of the grading on the essays, but I'm not complaining! She has an ENORMOUS portion on her plate with triplets, the Nest, and her son's amputation, but she does the best she can. She's amazing at peeling layers of a book and making others understand the deeper aspects of literature.

You will see that her ratings have (sadly) declined over the years and there is a reason for this. I had her for Business Management. She has a mean and arbitrary streak, and most everyone who takes a manager position experiences this. She does not grade in a timely manner and loses emails/work and then blames you for it. She is dismissive when you try to talk to her. She starts you with an F in the class that you have to work out of. She does not read or return your assignments.

I had Chufo for English Honors 9 as well as the Business Management class and I really respect her. Though we've disagreed on some things, what I really about Chufo is that she treats her students as equals. She puts so much effort into her teaching and you can really tell that teaching is more than just a way of making money for her. She's hard working and I would love to have her again. She didn't read all the essays. It was ridiculous. She would take literally 3 months to grade the essay and then she wouldn't even read all of them. She was really really lazy on most of her grading. Her quizzes are really irritating and stupid. Usually I don't like kids who complain that the teacher gives them bad grades because she doesn't like them, but in this case it is really true. She only reads the essays from the students that she likes. Get on her good side if you want an A.
