he was pretty kewl and funny in class. He helped me learn how to read sheet music better than I use to and when I transfered to a different school I was far ahead of the guitar students there. the kid
I'm lukewarm about him. I agree with the people who say he's nicer outside of school than in class. He's cool when you talk to him, but if you're not 100% into music, you're screwed.
wow those of you who think putterman is a show off know nothing. he shows off very little of how good he actually is. he is an excellent teacher and a really awesome guy. he has improved my playing
Mr. Putterman is a show-off, and unless you are good at guitar he will pretty much ignore you and you will fail his class. All he does is talk about is music "theory" and show off his guitar skills.
good guy, but he isnt the most interesting teacher. if you dont understand one thing, he will just forget you and move on. if you dont know how to do something in music, you basically cant do the rest
Outside of band, he's a really, really nice guy. I had him for a year and a half before I dropped his class for Choir. His class was tedious if your primary interest wasn't Band.
The people who have anything bad to say about Mr. Putterman are people who do not care about music and took the class socially. If you want a music teacher you cannot do any better
Putterman is one of the coolest guys I've ever met. He came in during my senior year when I was Drum Major and I had a blast working with him.
Great person, but he doesn't realize that a lot of students see Band as more than just a class to play music in (it's a social class as well for many.)
Putterman is a great teahcer and has always been there to help out others!! He is great at what he does and deserves respect for the contribution he's made!!
