I had him for AP Statistics. He's very dedicated to his students and loves kids who have a desire to learn. Don't sleep or text during lectures; show that you are proactive in your academic career because let's be honest, your high school career makes up your entire life prior to graduation, so make the most of it by at least staying awake and trying your best. He knows what he's talking about; he has it all memorized. He will retire soon due to students frustrating him.
Honeslty when i fissrt camto this schoolio i thought Jeffery was my father.
Overall great teacher - he definitely pushes his students, but only because he knows the extent of their capabilities. Don't think that you're gonna have an easy ride in any of his classes, but don't think that he won't offer you any support either. As long as you remain actively engaged during class and stay on top of your work outside of class, you can manage. Plus, the amusing anecdotes that he periodically blesses us with make class just that much more enjoyable!
Do you recall that it's Cool for the Summer? (4th period
He is really good math teacher. His class is different from other class. His lecture never get bored because he always share stories and knowledge.
I love this man. I could listen to him for days! Oh, and his graphs are stunning, The man dresses well annnddd shares awesome stories with the class.
Mr. Speranza is a good teacher, but if you are expecting to just pass by his class just by bs-ing the work, good luck. I was one of those students before, but Mr. Speranza taught me more than math, he
Best math teacher at WHS and one of my favorite teachers! I had him for Trig and AP Stat. Not an easy A, but I learned a lot. For Trig, he only collects a homework packet per chapter (20 pts), so you
Took AP Stats and Trig. He loves studious students but really hates students that have no effort. The good thing is that he is like a college professor. There is no homework graded only tests.
he is a great teacher you learn a lot from his class but don't get him mad
very helpful with students, bet math teacher ever! he teaches well. explains everything, and doesnt leave one kid out. I love his life lessons. but please shave!
I took Mr. Speranza as a freshmen for geometry (1996) and then as a junior for math analysis (pre-cal/1999). He was the best high school teacher that I ever had. Passionate and encouraging. JSF,Esq.
Speranza is one of the best math teachers I've ever had in my life. He has taught me so much about math and about life. He is very vibrant and does lots of examples, which helps you remember.
He is very helpful, fun, and kind. I learn a lot from him, not only things about math but like a little bit about everything.
I learn so much in this class, not only about math but about LIFE in general. He gives you the straight forward facts about life and how to succeed. Plus, he gives very good examples on Trig func.
He goes on tangent topics a lot, and it wastes a lot of class time. But these tangents usually help me remember what he was talking about, so I don't mind wasting 30 minutes of classtime. lol :]
He's my favorite math teacher, even though i havent even had him for a whole year yet. I am having so much fun this year in his class :)
had him in Algebra I, awesome teaching. really connected with each of us and took time to explain things clearly. I agree, if anything, you'll learn about life in that class. best math teacher.
Tough cookie. His class is harder than college level math, but you'll learn something. His personality is strong and may clash with some students.
very fast pase man, not only in math but in talking, walking, etc... for me i had a huge question mark on my face ALL year, but even those i failed his class, he was one of the best teachers i've had in hs.
The most dedicated teacher at Westmoor, take his class, even if you dont like math.
