She is an extremely hard working teacher but most kids that she taught do not care enough for the subject. I feel like she may very well teach at a university level however her students do not care enough to study or pay attention. Her lessons were half boring and half funny but looking back on my freshmen year, she was a great teacher. She literally got carpal tunnel syndrome from trying to correct everyone's HOMEWORK. Not even tests. She really cared and was hard working. I regret not trying.
Very difficult to speak to, very hard to pass and curses in class and teases students
Super cool teacher, and one of the smartest i've ever met. She's strict but not in a mean way. If you pay attention, take notes and do your homework you'll t along just fine with her and you'll do well in her class. However her tests are really hard so you have to really study for them.
she is a very nice person but sometimes not clear at what she is teaching. Her tests are really hard and sometimes you wonder why she is such a hard teacher but you adjust to her and hopefully do good
I had Chu in freshmen year for lab. She didn't like my group in general so I think she picked on us a lot. Lab made absolutely no sense at times and we always did them right before they were due together. When I think back to Chu, I remember a strict, grumpy lady. I liked lab only because my group was awesome, other than that, freshmen lab was horrible with her.
she gets sidetracked kinda often although sometimes she is funny. however this means that her students r really unprepared for her tests which are really hard for no reason. if ure gunna get 70s on her tests, ure gunna get a 90 on the regent (my case). good luck bk tech freshman
She is a great person, but a horrible teacher. She tries to teach but she gets sidetracked a LOT. It's true, she does care and she will do anything she can to give you a non-failing grade. GLHF with her tests though. They're killer. Bu at the end of the year, she's really friendly
chu is great; she's humorous, and knows much about the class she's teaching, and sometimes has interesting things to tell you when you get out of topic. she's amusing, and all, but the only problem are her extremely harsh tests.
Ms. chu is very knowledgeable but she is give a lot of work. Which is not that bad. :) I enjoyed her class.
good teacher, just pay attention and do good on her tests.
future freshmen my prayers are with you she said shes gonna go hard , assuming this year was easy you all are screwed
she is hard, and her tests are hard and she mean to me :'(
very difficult teacher , but if you do the homework and constantly pay attention you will still do mediocre in the class. Her tests are personally harder than the regents exam.
really cool she gave me candy for christmas and passing the reagents :) my 2nd favorite teacher :)
She really knows what she teaches. She is not easy, but her tests are NOT ridiculous and if you pay attention you will do well in her class and lab! If you need help with something, she is always willing to help. Probably the "coolest" teacher I had freshman year. She lets you make up labs that you didn't hand in previously and gives you many chances to achieve a good score on the regents.
Really knows the material. Her tests are pretty dam hard though. Try to pass and show effort in her class and your grade won't suffer too much.
if you work and study hard, you CAN get a good grade. it's definitely not impossible.
She was rlly hard but a really good teacher and I think many students didn't like her because she was hard. I was failing her class and had missing labs yet she let me make them up until the day after the last day of school. She's very underated
Shes a teacher who has a "sick" sense of humor. Her classes arent thatt boring cuz she makes it funny. There isnt a lot of participation in the class cuz she does most of the talking. But if you need help with something, all you gotta do is ask and she takes as much time needed to explain it more clearly. Her tests/quizzes are "regents questions" and they arent really that hard if you know the material.
alright at first i didn't like her but when i got to actually understand the materal she's a great teacher. she gives you the information so all you gotta do is study. i fell asleep in her class all the time and she didn't mind. lol. i for a 65 for the first term but end up getting an 85 for the regents. helped a lott!
not a bad teacher...funny and carin but tests/quizzes are difficult. take down good notes!
Shes a really touch teacher no doubt about it but she really works hard to make you learn and if you listen in her class you end up learning a lot and get really prepared for the regants also as long as you don't get annoy her she does try to be nice to you if your kindave doing bad and shes very fair(except sometimes with the homeworK)
She's hard, but she really prepares us for the regents.
I think that she is a tough teacher, but she knows what she is talking about. She makes the labs for all the teachers to use. Hard to fall asleep or get bored in her class.
Very harsh with not handing in things for bio lab, but that's kind of understandable. She's not very helpful or clear thought.
she called my house for sleeping in class. Damn. But shes still cool lol
how can you not like ms chu? shes just hard, but she teaches and shes really cool
Watch out for her randomly hard tests. She can go too far with a few things and is one of the hardest bio teacher in BT. She can be confusing at times with her English skills, but she is a cool person.
shes really cool and she knows alot of things bout bio. she's a tough teacher and demands alot of things from teh students, but thatz how we learn. her tests are easy to pass as long as u study everything she gives out.
Stirct, but cool. She is funny but can give some harsh tests. Her tests can be a little less "regent" type and more of her own. And too many things to study for a test. She should giv us her own notes
Eh... not a great teacher but not too bad. She grades very strictly. I'm not complaining about that. You can get a 100 on your first lab and a 35 on your second one and your average is killed.
lol shes a bad teahcer, and you are all right here, she cant teach, is smart, talks alot, but can't teach
i actually liked chu, as a teacher she didn't teach well but she helped raise my grades with a nice curve
Dr. Chu is incredibly funny but she can't really teach. The material is slightly harder than the other biology teachers.
her class is hard coz its bio. she cant teach but shes rly intelligent. she is funny n talks abt reproduction alot. i didnt rly like her as a teacher.
Dr. Chu is the best. Just listen to everything she says and you'll get over a hundred on all her quizes. Plus the envitable curve :)
like everyone said, she's a pretty hard teacher, but in the end you will learn to appreciate her. You actually learn in her class.
she's a very hard teacher, but i think she is humorous and i hope her tests can be a bit easier..
Dr. Chu is one of the coolest people you will meet. She's so hardworking and has a great sense of humor. Cherish her class, no matter how much you might hate it. Trust me, I hated it too, and look at the way I'm praising it now. Thanks for everything, Dr. Chu.
Once she decided that she does't like you , you're absolutely stuck, everything you do is wrong, if you can't understand her class discussion, result in failing, she will fail you even though you've tried your hardest. She teaches in college level, and her test - there's no way to pass it if you don't study. Prepare for suffering day after day, but - you will surivie it, luckily it's only one year.
If you pay attention in class, and quickly review, you should do fine. She tries to teach more than there they say in the book, so you really have to take notes. I got an 80 in her class, and I was so HAPPY, while the next term I got a 95 and hated the teacher cuz I learnted nothing. Take advantage and do something good for yourself in Chu's class
She may be an excellent teacher, but I find her class very difficult. There is little help from her and she's usually strict, espiecially on her exam. Has favorites and likes to humilating those she doesn't like. Homework are hard and too many, tests equals to stressful and suffering. But if you try, she will notice you and not give you a hard time.
Dr. Chu...(Chubaka)..lol..what a great teacher. She knew her bio very well and taught it to us with a bit of humor involved. Her review sheets helped and what ever we did in class was fun and infromative. Hands down the best bio teacher in the school. Make sure you do all your h.w. and participate in class. She is also a very nice person and fun to talk to.
she's pretty cool. yeah she's tough but she just wants us to do good.
She mad funny but the way she teaches is odd. She exlains everything but its hard to understand. She would let us diss her if she dissed us. Labs are fun with her cuz aslong as you do your work its all good, she lets u play around. If u do ur hw very well and put in a lot of detail shell notice u and ull get a nice avg
Ms. Chu is not a good teacher at all. SHe barely explains things clearly, or if she does she only explains them to the kids she likes. Unfortunately she didnt like me. THen for the final average she doesnt average out whatever grades you ogot, instead she gives you a grade she assumes you deserve. that's not very fair though. SHe liked to waste time during classes but on tests she would always put things from the reading. so if u werent clear on something u were screwed.
I don't think she liked me, but it was ok. I had her for honors, DO all her hw's and show effort and you'll get a pretty good grade. (88 YEAH) For all my gangstas, chill on your attitudes, cuz she hates kids that look/act like hoodlums, truss me I know. If your not in honors and you have her, I feel your pain, your gonna have as much work as the honors and way lower grades.
I like her soo much better than mr. Bacchi....she is not so hard if u pay attention...her tests were very had...made bio fun even tho i was late half the time...
ms. chu is an interesting teacher. she is really devoted to teaching.
mrs. chu is really hard and is kinda leanient on the grades if you do ur homeowrks and show that u care about her class. Dont get on her bad side. STUDY for her tests.
I had Dr. Chu a long time ago, in fact, but she was an awesome teacher. She's hard, don't get me wrong, but trust me when I say this: Learn to study for her tests. Those study skills will get you As in all your classes even through college.
Best science teacher I have ever had. is full of knowledge and very helpful. Wish I had her for chem and physics.
yo her test be suprisin people but if u study and NOT CRAM you do good. she is mad funny and will embarass u, for fun and 2 learn. but she gave me a good grade!
Amazing teacher, period. Tests are hard, but it gets you ready for college and the rest of school life. Hard teacher, but puts you on the path to do awesome.
Well, she's cool... But some of the stuff is just a little to complicated and unclear...
she's a good person and all, but her tests are just 2 much. i cant study 4 her test because i end up forgettin wut i started studyin. too much stuff to remember
Yes, she's hard, but if you pay attention in her class, you won't regret it. Thanks to her, I ended up with a 97 on the bio regents.
you guys are all wrong, You will get 100 on all of her tests if you just study for 15 hours!!! Dude, come on!
i do pretty bad on her tests/quizzes, but c'mon how could u not love dr. chu?? everyone who gave her anything less than a 5 should be smacked.
She's an alright teacher, but MAN her tests/quizzes are hard!!! Sometimes I wish i never went into honors but she's funny....=|
Tests are generally OK, but messing up on one pt. of a short answer can cause you to get the rest of the question wrong, like a domino effect.
its cool to ahve a teacher like us, she makes her tests like 5 AM that day and I show her all her mistakes. but shes funny. tests not that bad. study.
great teacher...great lessons, makes you understand everythin, and puts it in great detail
I thik Ms. Chu is great. She teaches everything in lots of detail, and she' usually answers your questions. The problem is she wastes time on questions a lot.
