Jim Antenore completely changed my life. He is by a wide margin the best teacher I've ever had, and growing up in Orange County, I had a good many excellent teachers. He is inspiring, compassionate, and dedicated. He never alienated anyone and always treated every student not only with respect but with genuine empathy. He inspired me to be a teacher and I'll never forget him. He is now retired but his impact on thousands of students will be remembered for all time. Thanks Jim.

An inimitable educator, but more than merely so... Jim is utterly genuine in his humanity and undeniably passionate in his signature ad-hoc classroom style. Intellectually earnest with a singular capacity to take the most abstract arcana and make it truly vivid

One of the best teachers of IHS! He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about teaching. I learned so much in one class seating. He also genuinely cares for his students and is easily approachable.

Mr. Antenore is downright one of the best teachers I've ever had. I cant think of a situation where he "dropped the ball" or demonstrated an "I'm perfect and pure" attitude. He took the time to really get to know his students and he genuinely cared not only about their progress in the class, but their progress in their lives. Mr. Antenore made it a goal that we learned something in the class- whether it was the material or something about ourselves. He is not only an amazing teacher; he's an inspiration.

Best. Teacher. Ever. I was in Mr. Antenore's Honors Modern World History Class as a freshman and HAD to take his class on religions too! He genuinely cares about his students and what he teaches and will absolutely change your outlook on life. I learned more in his class than in any other one I have ever taken and still had fun. Our field trip to a Monastery and many guest speakers were unforgettable. =)

In one sentence, he is a wonderfully inspiring teacher with refreshing insights on life. Although he is really disorganized, it does not detract from the value of his teaching. He grades each essay with strict attention and really cares about what you think and the opinions you have formed. Group discussions are an important part of his class and everyone’s opinion is expected and appreciated. I learned a lot from Mr. Antenore and any student lucky enough to be his pupil will too.

Classes are heavy on participation. If you're shy, you won't like it. Not many tests, so you better do well on all of them. Homework is mostly reading an article and then writing a critical "think piece" he might make you share with the class. Nice guy, but not very organized.

He may have been a great teacher in the past, but Antenore really dropped the ball these last couple of years. He was never in class and was very disorganized. Don't get me wrong, he is a good guy, but not a good teacher. Also, his whole "I'm perfect and pure" attitude is a big turn off.

Very, very fun and intimate teacher. He gets to know the students very well and cares deeply about them. Unfortunately, his classes do very little to enlighten someone who is already aware of their world. But that doesn't make them any less fun. Also unfortunate is how clear his political views are. He's quick to agree with someone who has the same political stance, but anyone who doesn't will find themselves engaged in an unneccessary logic battle.

Mr. Antenore is one of those teachers that you never forget. He does a graet job at what he does and he works to his fullest every day, hoping that his students will actually learn. I enjoyed his class H World Studies and am currently in Comparitive Religions with him and it is mostly because he is a great teacher, has a great personality, and actually helps students. The homework is a breeze...I normally did it the night before it was due. Tests are a breeze too.

Let me just say that, if you like talking, you'll love this class. Practically every day is just an open discussion, if you're more the shy or reserved type, you'll probably dread going to this class (i know i did). Occassionally, you'll watch videos or read articles, but the HW is usually just a free-response paragraph(s) to an article, and you discuss it the next day. Get ready to participate. :) But otherwise, he's a good teacher and i felt like i learned about important issues.
