Extremely easy class. Movie watching that relates to Christianity (just finished The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe). Wrote his own textbook. Funny and nice teacher. Very forgiving. Good at explaining allegories and other similar relations to Christianity and Christ through literary and historical works.

Reason why I believe in God. Great man. He is not close-minded, just forgets sometimes that though he has answered question 100 times, the student asking it has never had it answered before. He has thought his positions out and sometimes takes his thought process, which had been practicing for years, for granted and forgets that students are not up to the same speed as he is. If you want full Hogan experience, long discussion is the way to go. Ask him about his club Inklings- you won't regret it

It's amazing that a guy like this teaches at a Jesuit school. On paper he's the exact opposite of their progressive beliefs. A decent enough teacher to most, but dangerous to the unsuspecting and malleable. His teachings and approach are a significant reason why I eventually lost faith in religion. I think without him things would have been different for me, and better off. Proceed with caution, or just don't proceed. Theology teachers shouldn't cause one to resent their faith, and I'm not alone

Very easy class, a bit of a know-it-all type guy. He thinks he knows everything.

Staunch conservative Catholic. Convincing arguments though some are not objectively based. Ideal Catholic-for the 1800's. Very close-minded as to Church teachings, but otherwise a nice guy.

This man is categorically wrong in everything he says. It is as if there is a network of conspirators constantly feeding him false information. You can have a lot of fun with his ignorance, though.

Tests/Quizzes are very easy. His rationale and arguments can ambiguous often; contradicts himself and Catholicism occasionally; goes on diatribes against society once a week, and presents his teachings poorly.

This is by far one of the best men I have ever met in my life. He changed my life for the best, and I would give my arms to be able to take his class again.

Very easy but still kind of odd. I don't agree with his views but he's a lot better than Prokop and some other teachers

Nice man, but it seems like he is trying too hard to make his students laugh. (Tells same jokes "Did I tell you this already?"). Overall, good.
