A phenomenal teacher. The best beard my two eyes have ever laid eyes on.
What an absolute G. He teaches you to be a better student so as to actually learn the content rather than cram and just get an easy A for the class. Don't listen to what some others will say, his class is not impossible to excel in as long as you work hard and study.
I've learned more from Mr. Hunt's class than any other class I have taken. His class is rather difficult. However, it is worth all the hard work because of the education I acquired. I learned more than just English and Greek Mythology. I learned how to be an exceptional student.
Hunt is an intelligent man but he should not be a teacher. His English class is almost exclusively grammar----grammar so intricate and complicated that no one--save an English PhD or professor----would EVER use it. My son took the class---there was no analysis of literature or literary forms---no composition instruction whatsoever. Just grammar. Hunt is an old, disinterested, angry egotist. He needs to go, like most of the teachers at Servite.
I am taking him currently and I will tell you, HE IS THE WORST! I passed the first semester but he is a very conservative teacher very set in his ways and no one else. Your opinion doesn't matter to him. There are times when he gets so angry that I seriously worry about the safety of the student that he is yelling at. Mr. Hunt gives useless assignments, doesn't grade them sometimes tests you on things that he never teaches you and then blames it on you. Mr. Hunt is the worst teacher at Servite!!
Mr. Hunt is punitive for ridiculous things. For example, he might ask a question about an author that reads, "How many languages could the author speak by the time she was 16?" A student might answer, "By the time the author was 16 she could speak English, German, Spanish, and Dutch." The languages listed are correct, but Mr. Hunt would take off points for the student writing "16" in his answer instead of "sixteen" - even though Mr. Hunt used "16" in his question! This is a REAL example!
Mr. Hunt is a teacher that a lot of people say "Don't take him!". But it's not because he is a bad teacher. It's because he's tough. He is extremely knowledgeable and a good lecturer. His tests were very hard and he often had pop quizzes. If you want an easy A take another class. But if you want to learn and have to work hard to get the A, then definitely take his class.
He knows a ton but sometimes expects you to do the same he is very smart and sometimes not very nice but he teaches you great lessons for life
mr. Hunt is a great teacher but his grading is harsh. He has a system when he wears cartoon ties he gives out tests/quizzes and when he doesn't its a regular day. When you see the cartoon tie just ask as many questions as possible.
He knows a ton but never gives out an A. The two main things that I remember from his class that he told us is that one he hates children, and two that the only people who have ever gotten an A in his class went to Harvard or Yale. Not the nicest man either.
this guy... is a beast. ask him about the 30 foot bear story. gradewise: harsh on some big assignments
He DOES NOT give many good grades, and he enjoys every minute of that. You probably will learn quite a bit, however.
"It's about the education, not the grade". So true. My grades aren't too high in this class but I have learned a ton.
This guy is a genius. Knows just about everything. Challenging class, don't expect an A but you will learn a ton.
Really difficult class. Do not expect an A, they are few and far between and his class. Good teacher though that I learned a lot from
Fierce temper, rages, throws books. I hope he finds peace.
too many issues. somedays he can be cool & then snap he is out of control.
He is impossible.. avoid him... tests are impossible.. not very much homework..boring class
Some of the best stories I have ever heard. Class is fun, but tests and quizzes are hard. Knows the material but does not teach. Tests are insane, scantron does not help.
The only good quality this guy has is telling good stories. His test are extremely hard.
doesn't really explain things too well, tests are way too confusing, if you dont agree with him you're wrong. Easier to get in HP English 3 having Mccoy for CP probably
Very power hungry, hard to get help from, i didnt like his teaching method
a real cool guy, very demanding, very hard, but youll learn alot and its a prety fun class
Comes off hard but is a teddy bear inside. A lover of classics. You will learn or else.
very difficult. he looks like homer and other greek characters.
HA HA if you are taking his class ask him about the 50 foot bear. Oh yeah and study a lot too, of you do its an easy class.
Quite a hard class, but you learn a lot from him. Ask about the engine block story or the cliff story if you have him.
mr. hunt is a great teacher.. and he's a male nurse.
Take this class, but don't screw around, or he'll bury you. If you're willing to work for a fun class, you'll get one.
very challenging, a little impatient, a MUST for bio
